A Texan travelling abroad is easily identified not as an America, but as a Texan.

Likewise, a Quebecer travelling abroad is easily identified not as a Canadian, but as a Queeb.

Why?

our women are prettier, our men are stronger, our kids are smarter and we're so humble that we just stand out...that's all. i thought everyone knew that.:p

Their out of proportion influence on our federal governments?

Exactly. Both incompetence and malicious intent can be dismissed with a scowl and a white cowboy hat. Something about being an intolerant religious zealot would fit any texan that wields much power.

so who's the Texan equivalent of René Lesvesque? Ann Richards?

I didn't know that! It's all called the Gatineau? I went camping at La Verendrye last summer. It's soooo beautiful! Funny, when I hear "just across from Ottawa" I always automatically think Hull. I have never been to Aylmer or Hull lol

Yep, Montreal night life is pretty incredible. I don't participate in it like I used to, getting a little too old for that kind of thing now but I live downtown so I hear it every night at 3 am when the bars close. lol

I could go cross the river to Hull and drink when I was 18, I can go clubbing there and smoke inside, etc...
