Treading water. How about you?

Ftwday...welcome to you, too. I used to live in your neck of the woods; lived in Ft. Worth from '84 to '93.

WG....glad you enjoyed your visit to Texas. Nice pics!

THANKS, EVERYBODY!

Enjoy the 4th! Stay safe, stay armed (lucky dogs!). I'm looking forward to my next visit to Texas!

I feel so sad. I was the one who asked for another Austin Meet and I wasn't able to show up! Stupid Job....Damn you H-E-B! Damn you to hell with you oney that I need in my bank account!

Howdy Y'all

Originally from Dallas I was finally able to move back to Fort worth after a few too many years studying up in yankee lands. Thank you for having a texas post! Now how about a sweet Texas gal to welcome me home?

Hey there, hon! Welcome back to Texas, and to Lit. Post lots and have fun!

I checked out your profile, and followed your yahoo name to your yahoo profile.....I'm impressed! Someone else who plays disc golf!! Shoot, I usually have to explain to people what it is! lol

I used to live in Ft. Worth, at what used to be Carswell AFB. Nice place. Wouldn't mind moving back sometime.

Re: Howdy Y'all

Welcome back to DFW, mellow -

I'm in Fort Worth - moved from Colorado when I was in Jr High, but didn't get to FW itself until after college.

I like the pace (AND the traffic, AND the traffic ...) better here than in Dallas. Hope you enjoy it here.

... damn ... now I'm thinking that last week there was someone else new in FW on one of the 11,000 lists & boards I'm on that I meant to welcome to town but didn't get around to ..................

that's gonna bug me .....

Rich

That'll learn ya, Rich! Teach you to procrastinate! *grin*

Hugs, hon. Have a good day!

Hi to all the Texans on Lit. Born and raised here. Used to be that was very common sight here in Tx but somewhere in the 70-80's when everyone was coming here looking for work, it is now hard to find Native Texans. But welcome to all, native or the ones that got here as soon as they could!

Re: Re: Re: Howdy Y'all

Teach me to procrastinate? *wink*

Noooo ... I could teach a graduate level course in procrastination myself.

... one of these days.

No, Rich. That isn't what I meant. I guess I didn't have the right inflection, huh? lol

What I was trying to convey was a "that'll learn ya" type of thing. lol *sigh*

Morning everyone! Looks like we're going to be stuck inside all day with 100% chance of rain. Guess we'll just have to play a little more than usual! :D

And now all y'all see one of the reasons why I'm a techno-boob. I THOUGHT I'd logged out of Houston Party! after doing a little housekeeping on the list of Gulf-coasters *rolls eyes*

Yeah, well....ya luv me anyway, I know!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Howdy Y'all

Glad to see so many friendly folks again..

It makes me remember why I missed home. Since I am seeing so many replies I guess I ought to check back a bit more often. And who's up for a round of disc golf?

I've seen the course in Austin. I know Blue Daisy likes it in San Antonio, but I didn't know they played that up in DFW.

Which course in Austin?

Of course we play up here in DFW. There is a course in Ft. Worth that is easy to get to and another in Arlington. I first learned to play in Dallas but that course has been moved. Austin has several great courses and of course there is nothing like playing on campus in San Marcos... Anyone else play in DFW? I could use a partner to play a round or two.

Disc golf? Did someone say DISC GOLF? Me!! Me!! I'll play! *grabbing bag of discs* I'm ready!

How cool is this? Another Lit disc golfer!

We've got 2 nice courses here in SA, one in Live Oak City Park and the other in Universal City Park. Where are the courses in FW? I could look it up in the directory, but I'm feeling lazy. lol Isn't there one in Boaz Park? Seems like I recall seeing that on the list. Wasn't there when we lived in Ft. Worth. Boaz was a nice park, though.

Someplace, honey....you remembered! I haven't talked about disc golf THAT much, have I? lol

Re: Which course in Austin?

I've played a few times in the past - but not well enough for anyone to want to be on the same course with me.
