I would go and help with the sober enough to remember part. ;)

Personally...I cannot drink myself stupid. I get sick first. :p

That makes 2 to watch us now, Melli. See, we can drink and drink until we can't see straight and our buds will make sure we are still sober enough to remember the night! lol

howdy ya'll!

So...are there any new Dallas ladies that have joined the community lately? If so I'd LOVE to hear from you!

Melli and Keiffers....we want details! The more lurid the better!

What you want to know what happened the last time I went drinking. hmm . . okay.

I can say drinking definately lowers my inhibitions and increases the sex drive, so I was horny, Scott wasn't getting ready to leave fast enough for me. Since I was wearing a skirt, I shimmied out of the panties and dropped them in his hand.

He couldn't get out the door fast enough after that.

I think that's my tamest drinking story, so that's all I'll tell :)

Mmm...I like that story! I don't have any good drinking stories to tell, that I know of...lol The Litsters who've been to LitTogethers with me might have other things to say about that, though. But if they do, I hope they keep their mouths shut tightly! lol

drinking and remembering go together? hmm, go figure

Hiya Minnie! How goes it?

Drinking and remembering are supposed to go together if you do it (drinking) "responsibly", I hear. Not quite sure what that word "responsibly" is supposed to mean when it comes to drinking, however. *wicked chuckle*

Oh responsible drinking is when you do not dribble, spill, or commit any other type of alcohol abuse while partaking of the beverage of your choice....

thats my definition anyway, dont think the state would go for it though.

as for me, I finally finished my teaching certification so watch out, i am qualified to teach your kids now....woohoooo. still have a year to complete my Masters though, so study I still must do.

I like your definition, too, Minnie! lol

I didn't realize you were studying to be a teacher, and going for a Master's to boot! Cool beans! Congratulations! What age/grade/subject(s) will you be teaching?

I loved getting my MS (Educational Computing)... but then again, I am a life long student... so I enjoy odd things! Working on my PhD now, but my major prof went to prison (there was a long story about his rise and fall in D magazine), so now I am shopping for a new program.

Hello to everyone, I'm new around these parts. Curious about all the possibilities and people to meet.

Howdy. :)

Last night I wound up in McGregor, TX. They have a great place called Texas Tea and Coffee, and some nights it is live music, some nights they show movies.

What are some of your favorite Texas places... especially out of the way gems?

Nice coffee house.:)

I don't know about out of the way but definitely a favorite is Marshall,Tx and all that it offers. The pottery store there is kick ass if you like that kind of stuff.

Out of the way places....hmmm

how bout every 'little' town in texas - been to a few out of the way beer houses around my local area - can't remember the name, but had fun, i know that much LOL

Welcome to Lit.

One of the things I discovered about southern CA is that is a nice place to have lived in the past! Of course, with traffic on I-35 and Mopac, Austin is looking more and like LA... but at least the food and music are good in Austin.

I don't live in Austin, but I frequent it... especially Chuy's Hula Hut, the Magnolia Café, the Terrace at the Oasis around sunset, the Indy/arts Regal Arbor theatre by the Arboretum, and Fry's for my computer habit.

Excuse the other folks who frequent this thread, they are waving to you, but they are a busy group.

Welcome to our little thread.

I grew up in San Diego and am now in Houston.

Love San Diego, miss it, couldn't live there again though. I just wanna visit now.

Okay Houstonians or those who might be willing to travel for a houston lit party. Go here . . . if there is interest, I will be planning one

Houston lit party

Or just pm me so I can keep a list of people who are interested and their ideas for getting this thing together, time and place are still up in the air though.
