Reuters reports that Israel has responded to the latest round of suicide bombings by, as they call them, "Palestinian terrorists" who were responding to the latest round of killings by, as they call them, "Israeli terrorists."

Israel's method this time around is to bomb the hell out of Palestine with airplanes. Sounds a bit familiar.

It does make one wonder, does the US's war on terrorism and states who support it make other nations think that they can do the same thing? After all, Israel defines Palestinian militants as terrorists, so they are, in effect doing what the US and allies are doing in Afghanistan. Are they doing the same thing as the US and her allies do? Does the US and her allies share any sort of "culpability" for Israel thinking they can do the same thing? What kind of message are we sending to the international community? What kind of responsibilities do we have as "role models" for the rest of the world?

I was thinking about that just this morning and from some of the articles I have been reading, I think the Isreali's have pulled our leaders aside and said pretty much the same thing.

Why I think this is because we are not getting the usual round of condemnations of Isreal and Arafat did go out and arrest some 100 plus militants.

Note that the Isreali's hit one of Arafat's headquarters. There is little we can now say without being hypocrits especially since Arafat had everything he wanted (except the destruction of Isreal) when Clinto forced the Isreali's to give up more than they have ever offered, which he then walked away from. This brought down a very moderate Isreali government, and with elections upcomming, they could go even further to the hard-line position if the bombings continue.
