What have you heard about it in your neck of the woods concerning terrorist threats?

Nothing specific, apart from the Heathrow thing last week.

We still have notices prominently displayed about unattended luggage, suspicious characters etc from the IRA days so I suppose most of us over here have had it so ingrained in our consiousness that we keep alert on a sort of subconsious level which only comes to the fore when we do see something suspicious.

it seems like there are pockets of followers to Al-Qaeda all over the world. My opinionn is just because they live there does not mean they run the joint. Thank you for the clarity.

PP thank you

for clarifying also. So basically it was airlines security at alert. Same here in NY.

Didn't I see yesterday a report that the live grenade guy was actually a Venezuelan with forged ID docs?

Odd to see a Venezuelan up to no good off home soil....they always have so much to do at home!

I happen to live in what was, during the heyday of the Cold War, the metro area that represented Soviet Nuclear Target Number Eight.

All our houses are built with reinforced concrete, and there are still some buildings around here that say "Fallout Shelter" on them.

I'm not really nervous.

Whatever happens, happens. That's the way I look at it.

I'm not going to live my life around terroists.
