I thought it might be a good idea to ask the various message board moderators to put a sticky thread on their forum advertising Chyoo, explaining how it works and putting up a link to it.

What do you you think of this idea? Is anyone willing to compose a message to send to the moderators?

Gystex, what is your relationship with the moderators like? I know you've been in contact with them. Would they respond favourably if you ask them?

A good idea; if they do it it can't help but get more people looking at the site. Chyoo seems to be an acquired taste and there don't seem to be too many people that contribute regularly on both sides of the site.

I have also been letting editors of the stories I contribute to know about this board as there are many new stories from people I have never heard of. It would help if everyone would post on the boards to keep us up to date on their stories.

I'm afraid I don't have any "ins" with the Moderators. I sent around a message to them all asking about CHYOO, and my responses were essentially all the same: "We don't have anything to do with that." Everyone was nice and polite about it, but it's pretty clear that moderators of other message boards have no pull with the CHYOO people. Most of them had never even visited the site.

I honestly don't think the problem with CHYOO is on this end. We don't suffer from a lack of readers and contributors so much as a lack of leadership. Honestly, I would find it hard to advertise CHYOO as a site right now, because I feel it may be shut down at any time. The only reason I continue to contribute myself is because I enjoy this creative outlet so much, but I really couldn't recommend it to anyone else until they get their act together.

The people to contact are Laurel and Manu. I suspect that it's Manu who's in charge of CHYOO (look back to the first postings on whis MB and you'll see a number of them by him). But Manu never, never writes back, and as far as I can tell he never even reads his messages. So we have an uphill fight.

I've sent a pm to all the message board moderators.

Alexandraah has put up a sticky thread on the How to.. board.

Miss Taken has put up non-sticky threads in the BDSM talk and BDSM cafe sections.
