tell me what i'm doing wrong...

i'm trying to post a picture in a thread from my computer. i've read both of the previous threads on how to do so.

i go to manage attachments, load the photo from my computer, click on it, copy the url in the search bar, then add it with {img} at either end:

{img}blahblahblah{img}

the picture doesn't resolve, i get a separate box with a link instead.

What should i do differently?

**edit 2, okay that seems to work.

What I did was;

1) Use the Attachments (paperclip tool) to pull up the "Manage Attachments" box.

2) From there, I uploaded the pic file from my computer using the same one from my profile. (Some things in my files you guys really don't wanna see.)


3) Close the "Manage Attachments" pop-up window.

4) Highlight the Attach Files address that shows up below and copy it.


5) Tap the "Insert Image" tool on the toolbar.


6) In the pop up box asking for the URL, I pasted what I copied from the Attach Files box in step 4.


Let me know if this doesn't do what you were after.


Also, keep in mind that there are size constraints that I don't actually know off the top of my head, so you may have to scale down the image you are wanting to use for file size requirements.

**edit 3... just to make sure, that is supposed to be square brackets [] around IMG... also, the later one should have the "off switch" / between the square bracket and IMG. ... Like this [/IMG]
