teenage games

Hi, authors!

In the middle of a story i'm struggling with, there's a game of "spin the bottle". I think it's probably played everywhere.

I didn't like the scene, it reminded me too much of teen movies. Ditto with "truth or dare."

So, I'd be really interested to hear of any teenage games of this nature you may have played, or heard about that are a little less hackneyed in a story.

by the way, i never played games like this. I was one of those idiots who was in too much of hurry to grow up, so by the time my friends started playing it i had a b/f with a car (a crap one, by the way).

One of the technicians at the emergency room improvised a game, mostly to flirt with one of the docs. She came out of the nurses' desk area with post-its on the tops and undersides of her breasts, and a spinner from a twister game in hand, The notes said, of course, RED BLUE YELLOW GREEN even though they were all actually a yellow color. The spinner said "Right hand red" and stuff, of course...

What about naughty dice? I've never played with them myself, but I think they could be fun at a party.

You have one di that gives a command like blow, suck, lick, tickle, touch, etc and another that names a location like breast, neck, toes, genitals, etc. Seems like it could be a good icebreaker

Also, I played strip yahtzee once. That was pretty good. And more fun that strip poker!

That's why I offered it! Let me know if it ends up in a story. Also, I have a teenage party in chapter 3 of the sculptor story. A girl comes and strips, and everyone paints her (and she paints them, and whatnot) in blacklight paints under the UV lighting. With dope. And sex. And character development, and moxie! Anyhow, it's another idea.

"Never Ever Have I Ever" is the current English party stalwart. Everyone has a drink and sits in a circle and one person says an action, like "Never ever have I ever kissed a guy." Everyone who has kissed a guy has to drink a measure of their drink and everyone who hasn't doesn't. The game then goes onto the next person who says another Never Ever.

It'd be quite good for erotic stories, cause usually the Never Evers get onto sex pretty quickly and explanations are often required, especially for surprising results, like the straight guy who drinks to my example above. Good way to learn interesting things and also to entrap your mates when you know of their indiscretions.

I've never played it, but I've encounetered a variation of "spin the bottle" in several stories that is a little less hackenyed than the standard hackeneyed fare.

The random choice factor has been different with each story I've encounterd it in, but the "penalty" for losing/being randomly chosen is to go into a dark closet with another "victim" for five minutes. What goes on in the closet for those five minutes depends on the characters -- anything from whispered conversation to a "full contact quicky" -- and gives an author a lot of scope to avoid boring the reader.

hey, thanks for all these ideas, everyone!

i asked my fave nephew about this (he used to be a shy little boy but became obnoxious at around 16, the opp. of me). he must have had pmt , because he told me i should stop being so sad (referring to my erotic writing). hmff..

i feel a bit stuck on my teen story, which is probably because my nephew has now succesfully put me off it!

(actually he is still sweet but to get my own back i will embarrass him by putting him in an incest story avec moi - however, not sure whether aunt/nephew is incest!)
