Technical questions for The Editors

I'm editing my first story due to puncuation/spacing issues, and my question is this. Why is Wordpad eating my text??? I make a new paragraph, backspace the first letter so I can make it an upper case, then when I hit the space bar the curser advances and deletes the next letter. How do I stop this? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're in "insert" mode. Turn it off and you'll be OK
