Can a hacker be able to go into someone's computer and bugs it so that a certain server can't be accessed from this perticular computer?

If so, why does a hacker do such a thing?

I could be done (pretty easily) but the usefulness is pretty limited. Of course if I stolen your login to another site and didn't want you to see that I had been in there using your account it could be a way of delaying you finding out...

Why not delay? If I hacked your PC and stole your password to Lit and then planted a redirect on your PC so that you couldn't get into Lit I could have 3 or 4 days of posting as you before you got back in and told Laural/Manu that someone had stolen your password.

What makes you think someone that would break into your PC cares about your rights? lol
