Tech Question About My Profile

I am currently having a hard time with my profile. I really want to post a picture on it. Before, I had a picture, which worked just fine, but then I got this brilliant idea to change it! So I browed for the pic, selected it, submitted the changes, and it appeared on MY Screen. However, under my actual Profile (Like, when you click on my name next to one of my stories) it doesn't show.

My next course of action was to try to make it smaller. No good, didn't work. Giving up, I tried to change it back to the first picture...nope, nothin' doin'. So I gave up for a day and went off and <gasp> did something OTHER than look at literotica all day! When I came back I tried to put the picture on again, and again, no good. This time, however, it DID show a little square with a red X that said "chicklet" in it, but wouldn't "show picture," if you know what I mean.

Tonight I tried taking a new picture, with the thought that maybe my computer had been offended by my last one, and tried to place IT on my profile. NOPE! The biggest problem is that my boyfriend doesn't even know how to help me!

Anyone have any ideas/theory's/great-and-wonderful-answers for me? I would appreciate it...

Your member/author profile picture doesn't update immediately like your avatar would -- it updates when the stories update at midnight PDT.

Update to the picture you want, and then check the next day -- give it at least 24 hours. If it still doesn't update, then notify Laurel or Manu via the "contact us" e-mail link. Make sure you explain exactly what you did that didn't work and give any error messages you might have gotten.

Profile to post a story?

The FAQ says to submit a story from a submit button on my profile page. I can't find it. Is it restricted to those with more than "X" number of posts?

Also - my password doesn't seem to have updated. Does that happen after some period of time? I changed it but I can't login to chat with it.

You actually have two profiles here at Literotica.com, although both use the BB user database, each has different things that it displays.

To submit a story, you need to go to your "member's profile" instead of your BB profile.

At the bottom of the page, is a link to "Story Index". At the top of that page is a link to "Login" which will take you to your member's profile -- you should be logged in if you're using "cookies to browse" from the setting on your BB profile.

About half way down that page, on the left is the link to the story and poetry submission forms.

As for Literotica Chat, that does NOT use the BB database, so you need to change your password there as well.
