Tech Help - Ipod/Audible

I am trying out the audible.com app for ipod touch. I have maybe 200 books in my library on that site and there are a few i want on my ipod for my trip to New Orleans that is in a little over a week but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do it. I have the app downloaded and everything but i can't access my books.

If anyone could help me, you would be my hero for the day, honestly.

I pretty much figured out that they need to be synced so i did plug in my ipod. I have several books in the audible library but nothing will appear in itunes. Very confused.
