I don't have any tats, but I want to get one. I haven't yet because I'm a really big chicken.

Iris... i have one on the inside of my forearm, i thought it would hurt like hell when i got it.....

it felt wierd but not really any pain...

from what i understand, as long as you don't go over a bone it's not that bad...

As for tatts..I only have one. Am strongly considering two others. But, should I get those, I think that'll be it for me. Ohhhhh..and I want to get my tongue pierced. Though, if I do..it won't be "In your face." I want it back about as far as it will go, or at least not at the tip. Mmmm..I don't want it for visual reasons. *weg*

I think guys with tatoos are a major turn on and sexy as hell. I personally like the tribal pattern armband styles.

I've always been hesitant to get one myself because of the permanent nature of a real tatoo. Now notice my doll has an armband tatoo. This is what I like. Also a ying yang or dolphin.

A small aside I have always gotten temporary tatoos on vacations etc....Last year I got two upper armband tribal pattern temporary henna tatoos that were supposed to last about a month. Well guess who had a tremendous and severe localized allergic reaction and now almost one year later still has markings where the tatoos were. Eventually it will fade, but for months now people have been asking...Did you have a tatoo removed?

I'm a huge chicken about pain and especially about needles. But, I have been thinking lately about getting a small tattoo. Just turning it over in my mind. It would definitely be celtic. And colorful. The black and/or grey ones just don't attract me.

Is there any one spot on the body that is more painful to tattoo than others? The wrist?

Generally, the less padding under the skin, the more painful. The lower part of my tattoo hurt less than the top (it is in the small of my back).

From what I understand -- and I have no desire to find out -- the ankle is very painful indeed.

I have two tats. Both are of Eschscholtzia californica, the California poppy, CA's state flower. The newer one is high on my right shoulder and doesn't show unless i'm in a bathing suit or somethinglike that. The older one is way south, in front, pretty damn close to my labia, and doesn't show at all unless i'm down to skin. Both are small, botanically correct, quite artistic, and really beautiful.

I have piercings, too. Genital ones. Ear piercings don't count, right? ~laughing~

(BTW, that shoulder tat didn't hurt at all. Really. No hurt. Kind of a sunburn feeling for a few days after is all.)
