There used to be a pretty good author here called Tappy McWidestance.

I’ve done several searches, but his username and submissions seem to have disappeared. Anyone know what happened to him?

Don't know what happened, but it had to be fairly recently. I remember seeing the name in the top 250 authors not very long ago.

Well, don't know what happened to cause it, but the author ( or heaven forbid, heirs ) surely asked for the profile to be removed. It takes a lot to get a whole profile removed otherwise, and I don't remember much in the way of controversy regarding this particular author.

He was a good writer. I remembered I’d emailed him once about one of his stories, so I tried the gmail address, but it bounced.

I hope he’s okay wherever he is.

Rumor has it the author had moved with the entire family to Peru to operate a llama-based business.

However, why would the author not be able to post stories from Peru? Makes no sense.

I'm sure he could post if he wanted to. There are countless reasons an author requests his profile/stories removed

Might be publishing for money and if its through someone they request any free work be taken down

Maybe his family didn't know about his work and someone found out...or he decided not to take more chances of being found out

Regardless, its his decision and it is what it is.

Speaking of good writers on here, there used to be a really good writer of highly compelling stories on here years ago by the name of RGJohn. He disappeared a number of years ago.

Anybody know what happened to him? I think he still has a few top rated stories on the all time lists.

I remember him, I think he would occasionally post here on the boards as well.

A lot of the longtime greats have moved on-some literally as in deceased-too bad, but there's always new up and coming authors to take their place
