Tail wagging good time !!

a friend forwarded this to me in a email and I thought I would share

A Soldiers Request

I am an American soldier
I received orders the other day
I am being shipped overseas
And I would like to ask you to pray

You see our country came under attack
One day in the September sky
And so often I hear people asking
The fateful question of one word...WHY?

We need the Lords intervention
When we all are off to fight in this war
Because there are others who do not understand
Just what we are fighting for

We never try to hurt any body
But we are a nation that has it's own way
And some people just didn't like us
So they attacked us that fateful day

They thought that it would truly break us
That we would just fall apart inside
But our people they came together
And we shined with a new kind of pride

Our ancestors founded this country
They wanted us to be able to live free
They fought in each war that came along
Just to help to keep us all free

For we are a nation of freedom
And we will protect it at whatever the cost
Many men and woman will do battle
Some will survive and some will be lost

I am just one of the soldiers
But I will try to do my very best
To serve with duty and honor for my country
When I am truly put to the test

Cause I have a brand new daughter
And I have a son who has just turned three
And I would like to pass on the freedom
That my dad and grandpa had given to me

They used to tell me some stories
Of when they had fought in those other wars
It seems that there were other countries
Trying to knock down our country's doors

So you see this is not the first time
And I am sure it will not be the last
But I am going to help protect her
Just like my son told his Sunday school class

He said daddy is fighting for freedom
He is going off in the war
And I hope God will protect him
Cause I want to be able to see him once more

And then he said something so special
It brought it all home to me
Dear God can you tell other nations
Just let America stay the land of the free

Cause I like the country I live in
And I would hate to have to move out
Daddy said he is fighting for our freedom
And isn't that what it is all about?

I bowed my head and said thank you
Lord, I guess he has grown up too fast
But I shall do my best to protect him
Just like the ancestors did in the past

So when you finish reading please pray
Just ask God to watch over all the soldiers and me
Cause we are going to do our very best
To keep America, the land of the free.

The Jack ass that passes gas~

The Jack Ass that passes Gas~

My Uncle had a mule,
that was known to drool,

Big and stocky
that he named Rocky.

But bless his heart...
that mule could fart.

We would call him a Jack ass
everytime that mule passes gas.

Now pulling wagons was his job.
Rocky's head would bob and bob.

But when he farted, Oh My god.
My eyes would water and I'd almost sob.

We fed him gas-ex
just for a test.

But nothing helped when...
that mule passed wind.

Rocky's a good name, but some times I'm thinking...
they should have named him, always stinking!!!

HUGS to The Tail-waggers:rose: !!

Tail waggin

Sitting by the sea...
Doing it with glee,

Splashing the water...
as I sit and ponder,

Shell fish brought to me by the otter.
Oh just wait, it will get odder.

Watching a great big spouting whale...
Waving "Hi" with my fishy tail.

At the sailors that float on bye...
winking at them with my sexy eye.

Showing off my slender curves...
daring them to swim, if they have the nerve.

Flicking back my golden hair...
splashing the water with my tail.

Watching the ship as it will slowly fade...
Will they remember, the Mermaid?

Courage~

FEAR binds my feet...
The feeling of bittersweet!

The rush of an EMOTION...
From a dangerous notion!

The HEART pounds loudly...
So that it I will hear!

The SOUL that feels it's presence near...
Feels the uncertain and shivers queer.

The MIND that races with equations of plight...
The instinct for the LEGS to take sudden flight!

COURAGE I hold to stand an fight...
For it is nothing more than a sound in the night!

Deep inside the silent soul,
It's eyes firery red a glow.

In slumber for awhile is a hope,
For if it wakes, emotions choke.

If the Dragon does awake,
Do you fear he will escape?

The plain of tranqulity that will shake.
A mess of things It'll surely make.

The Balance of harmony is mostly sought,
It cannot be made or even Bought.

There is no sure way to confine.
The Dragon of anger in a mind.

Steppin' On Toe's~

No matter where you go...
your lible to step on a toe.

Like the ye ole classic rhyme,
can't please everyone all the time.

Life's a dance, we learn as we go,
Yeah, its a song I know!

The world's gotten crowded,
and there's a lot more feet.
Just try hard to be kind and sweet.

Some are stubborn and done took root.
Just offer them a steel toe boot.

Tell them it could be worse,
Two left feet, they'll like'ly curse.

You can't stop a dog from barkin'.
Or even, the sore from harpin'

Stepping on toes is bound to happen,
Especially if their sittin' with their toe a tappin'

If you step on a toe look them square in the eyes,
Then kindly apologize.

Cause the good lord knows...
Your gonna step on toes.

Samurai~

Samurai

A Samurai is never lord,
It is his calling.
His destiny to serve the sword,
and to watch the falling.

In the harshness of this Earth,
he finds harmony.
Tranquility in swinging steel,
till the warriors on his knee.

He looks to death as victory,
honor in every breath.
The beauty of a violent life,
till blood and sod do mesh

And with the last of his strength,
comes the eye to eye.
There he will find his quest,
The life of a Samurai.

Well, surprise, surprise, more great poems *wink*.. Love them... Keep up the good work, darlin'.

A Mother's Gift~

Everything I've ever known,
From a child till now grown.

All the feelings I've ever had,
from being happy to being sad.

The road of life that lay before me,
From mountains to valleys and the sea.

The sun that has lit my way,
and the moon a hue of gray.

The chance to feel loves awesome strength,
the passions I've had to great lengths.

Every creature on this earth,
Is given a family at their birth.

But the bond like no other,
Is that of a child and their Mother.

The gift of life you gave to me,
The gift of love you gave selflessly.

I've been blessed because I knew,
My Mother...I love you!

Only one more thing to say...
Happy Mother's Day!!!

(If your a Mother, this is for you...)
(Perhaps a few of you can use this...smiles)

ty art and happy mom's day to everyone who's a mom or who has played the role of a mother to some needy child....

Art and Bama HUGS!

HUGS and :rose:es to all the tail waggers:D
Happy Mother's Day to everyone who has children or who has cared for them ,,,you are all indeed a blesing!:rose:

Trials Toward Peace

Heat rushes through my body
Heart pumps wildly,
It's hard to breathe.
I sweat and pace the floor.

Trembling, my hands become cold.
My knees feel unsteady as I try to stand still.
The lump in my throat makes it hard to swallow.

Images rush through my mind
Jaw clenches, my teeth grind.
Awareness grips my neck
Tiny hairs raise as chills coat me.

The memory takes me there
Please, NO!
I don't want to remember.
I don't want to feel his sick hands on me.

*I DON'T WANT TO FEEL THE SHAME!*

*Pulse Quickens*
*Teeth Chatter*
*Chest Tightens*
*Body Shakes*

I whisper to myself, to convince myself...
"This too shall pass."

*'breathe, it's all right'*
*'you aren't there now'*
*'he can't hurt you now'*
*'you are no longer that little girl'*

Desperate, I search for peace.
I seek the quiet place--
The place where nothing and no one can harm me.

I know I'm the lttle girl anymore--
But she is still inside.
She begs to be free.
She pleads for the past to be UNDONE.

*GULPING*
*GASPING*
*GRIPPING MY FISTS TIGHT*

Tidal waves of tears
Flood my sight
As I weep for innocence lost.

I am PROOF that I am safe now.
I am no longer a victim of a predator's hand.
Yet, I am still caged in the prison of memory.

'shhh, little girl.'
'you couldn't fight then'

BUT I FIGHT FOR YOU NOW

Breaths calm like a river's breeze.
Trembling subsides.
My heart beats slow and steady.
My jaw releases and a smile forms.

The lump in my throat is gone.
My chest relaxes as my heart finds it's pace. Like clouds rolling away, fear passes.

Sadness remains, yet I mourn no more.

My eyes close as tears subside.
Washing me to the shore of my quiet place.
Peace is mine, there.

I am the WOMAN who grew
Despite the odds
Despite his perverted invasion.

I am a survivor
I am uncaged, thriving.
Hope emerges.

Like the sun from heaven,
Warmth returns to me.
I am here -- the moment has passed.

Slumber comes
I rest at peace.
I hold 'the little girl inside of me' close
I am reassured, and so is SHE.

There will be tomorrow.
It holds endless promise.
She and I are free.

Writing is cathartic for me. Being a survivor of molestation for 5 years (age 4 to age 9), I have been told by my "shrink" that I have PSTD (post traumatic stress disorder). When something triggers a panic attack, whether it be a location, a scent of a man's cheap cologne, or just a flashback, it is overwhelming and nearly paralyzing.

These are just some of my thoughts I wrote while trying to get through one of those triggered-moments. My hope is...if anyone experiences these things, that they know they aren't alone and most of all:

TRAUMA IS NOT A LIFE TATTOO.

You are who you are before the abuse began. Lingering in the past just allows the abuse to continue. Much love and support and plenty of prayers for survivors and their families.
