Syria is begging for a kinetic action. Go they get bombed? No, they have no oil...

;) ;)

What does Obama do about the massacres of Assad? He does what he suggested we do with the Russian incursion into Georgia (that's the country fool), run it by the UN security council. Russia is rather fond of Syria and Iran it seems.

Speaking of Iran, not only have they been giving the Taliban Pakistani-style passage over the Cambodian..., er Iranian border, but now they're going to do Clinton (that would be Hillary, U_D) and Holder a one-up by releasing all Taliban leadership in their country, to get a jump on our Paris-style "victory negotiations" in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Panetta is intimating that Israel is about to strike Iran.

Will we take them to the UN Security Council?

Will we treat them like our other allies?

Give them the ol' Mubarak?

;) ;)

The Momar?

:)

Glibertarians always favor an activist intervention policy as a first option. Bigger government means bigger armies means bigger victories.

It's what Ayn Rand taught us!

Wow, Throb's giving more straw-man lessons...

The Million Lie Deomocrat Calculus!

"...in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying."

Democrats have to act like Throb.

They cannot win adult discussion on issues, so they display their issues.

Human rights — decency — is reason enough to do everything we can to bring down Assad. But strategic opportunity compounds the urgency. With its archipelago of clients anchored by Syria, Iran is today the greatest regional threat — to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states terrified of Iranian nuclear hegemony; to traditional regimes menaced by Iranian jihadist subversion; to Israel, which the Islamic republic has pledged to annihilate; to America and the West, whom the mullahs have vowed to drive from the region.

No surprise that the Arab League, many of whose members are no tender-hearted humanitarians, is pressing hard for Assad’s departure. His fall would deprive Iran of an intra-Arab staging area and sever its corridor to the Mediterranean. Syria would return to the Sunni fold. Hezbollah, Tehran’s agent in Lebanon, could be next, withering on the vine without Syrian support and Iranian materiel. And Hamas would revert to Egyptian patronage.

WHAT GOOD NEWS!

Egypt is in the hands of those happy-go-lucky secular community organizers, The Muslim Brotherhood thanks to their happy-go-lucky community organizer, the man from ACORN!

The Democrats did not stand up for Trig...

We will do nothing about anything except Al Qaeda until after the election. The world knows this.

Obama cannot claim, "I ended the War in Iraq, am ending the One in Afghanistan and we can redirect that money into social programs", if he then attacks Iran, Russia and Syria.

So, militarily for the next 10 months you can expect to see more sniper/SEAL strikes against terrorist leaders in Somalia, The Sudan, Yemen and wherever intel places them.

We will send Hillary to Pakistan and they'll reassure her that they remain allies in the effort and the ISI will continue to support the Taliban. And frankly, I don't give a damn if the Taliban take over Afghanistan again after we leave, they will be indebted this time to Pakistan (a nation state) instead of to wealthy Saudis with terror connections.

20/20 hindsight and guilt by association are two of AJ's favorites.

Rob has to move from thread to thread snapping at mud puddles and frothing all over the place.

He's a Democrat. It's what they do. They hate everyone and everything!

They envision a perfect world order made to their own imperfections...

The answer was no; it [that their drug use was currently considered an illegal act by their own 'democratic' government] didn't bother them. It doesn't really bother anyone who accepts mob rule as a desirable form of social organization. The reason is that democrats never regard existing democracy as their preferred political system — they regard it only as a transitory state to a democratic utopia in which the elected leaders will agree totally with their own values and social-political views. Mises has observed that "the critics of the capitalistic order always seem to believe that the socialistic system of their dreams will do precisely what they think correct." Hence, when people talk about the importance of democracy, it is never democracy as it has ever actually functioned, with the politicians that have actually been elected, and the policies that have actually been implemented. It is always democracy as people imagine it will operate once they succeed in electing "the right people" — by which they mean, people who agree almost completely with their own views, and who are consistent and incorruptible in their implementation of the resulting policies. This is what allows an intelligent group of people to espouse mob rule as a desirable principle, even as they simultaneously commit acts that brand them as criminals worthy of imprisonment under the very social system they maintain.

What? No drone strikes on the Christian Leadership Council?
