Swords, Sex and Sorcery (D20 casting call)

I don't mind either way. Likely I'd just clone my character as I really want to see how she plays out.

Of course starting anew might allow for another starting location which could make things easier for JK. Your call.

I say it is a good idea to have a separate thread, we should probably skip the whole character sheet thing though as it can be a bit weird to have all the statistics but not being able to use them though. Equipment and Powers maybe but not everything on the sheets are needed to have a fun rp.

Well, I'm cook with doing the separate thread adventure then. I will try and hash out a basic OOC and setup this weekend. I have no problems with clones of the chars from this one being used. Things can be worked out further then.

I have to say I actually like the character sheet thingie for a change. I find it makes it a bit easier to define just what each individual is capable of, more so than just noting down "is an awesome Martial Artist".

I agree, it also does help keep the powergaming/godmoding down, imo. I have no quims with keeping the current system.

Alright I might not like the sheets, mostly because of the complexity, but hey what's life without some complexity? So let's repost our character,s or if you don't want to replay the character, well I think that's more of a discussion for the player with the GM cause I find my little kobold alchemist to be perfect.

Here is my thing. I agree with sheets. Yes it makes it easier to define what a character can do and limits on the god moding.

BUT, JK has said he's new and he doesn't know the rules as good as some others. Drak was right with the complexity. The higher level the more complex it gets.

Just a thought. Maybe make it lower level, restrict to things just on the SRD, which I know Cher will hate and want to choke me for saying. :p

Just so you have some reference to work off of.

A few thoughts. Take them as you will!

It's up to JK how it's done. As we already got the characters ready so do I not really see any issues, except for when we need to check for character belongings, abilities or similar. But hey that's why we post the sheets on the OOC thread so we can keep track on it. :D

Consider yourself properly strangulated. :)

I see the conflict, but sadly Ceana just wont 'work' without some little house ruling, which is basically that Guided Strike feat. Which in turn should not complicate matters for the GM as it merely alters the way some combat stats are claculated, but those end results work just like they did for any regular character.

What might have a much higher chance to cause some of JK's brain cells to fry are some niftly little tricks regarding secondary natural attacks KoD told me about via PM (and explicitly allowed in the campaign, to boot). And those are in full compliance with the SRD. :)

I don't see much problem with continuing the story from where we at now. We are on an airship heading to a place none of us have been before, so JK can make the place of our arrival anyway he sees fit ;)

I hope we keep the sheets and the pathfinder rules, since that was one of the reasons I joined, giving every character the chance to grow in time and having limits to what we are capable of ;)

A lower level might be good, but I think everyone involved is willing to help JK out and that we all are playing honest and fair with what we can and cannot do. Personally I want to get this thing started and find out what adventures await us ^^

Easy to say when you don't have to do any work and reap the benefits.

I'm just trying to make it easier on someone less experienced.

I personally couldn't give a fuck sheet or no. I'm here to help the aspiring DM. He knows it. It's all good. As you were.

Well, I've got the background story written out on some paper now. I should have it in another thread ooc later today and will post the link.

Great to hear, should we post our character sheets individually or do you want to post them yourself on the thread's first post?

You can repost them yourself. I'll try and post up the OOC in three hours or so. Intro IC post may be up this weekend.

I will be offline for most of the weekend, and today, but I will try to post during the evening, the few hours I have.

Well, Im not going to say the binge drinking didnt go on a little longer than planned, cause it did. HOWEVER, that was only about an extra 2 days, the the thing that sucked was getting home to an eviction notice just after I had blown cash on both the excessive drinking and flights an accommodation for a weekend away next month.

So yeah, I've been busy and now have far less room to play in, but I'm back, until something else horrible happens to me that is.

Good to be back, would have been sooner, but getting net accounts sorted was a chore.

Believe it or not, this place is almost a little island of sanity compared to real life for me.

Anyway, I'm about to write up a post to advance the thread from the ship to the shore, might end up being a bit abrupt but it needs a good kick to get spinning again.

Does this already count asthread necromancy? :) Somehow KoD's post has created the following imaginary scene in my head.

A dark night, a graveyard basked in the dime light of a pale moon, two hunched over figures in black robes next to the big hole in the ground that makes up an exhumed grave, and right next to it the barely decayed corpse.

"SSssso" the smaller of the two figures hisses "will massster sssshow me now the ssssecret incantation to animate a corpssssse."

"Sure I will" the larger figure steps up, and with unexpected speed gives the dead body a mighty kick in the ribs. "Get up you lazy son of a bitch, and start moving again" he yells, even as his boot connects.

Almost immediately the no longer completely dead corpse shuddres. Slowly limbs start to move again, making a first attempt to push upwards, and keen ears could have heard a quietly whisperes "Brainsss!"

I hate to do this, but I gotta withdraw for now. Got a few more things on my plate to deal with, sorry guys.
