Ivana made a sudden lunge to try to get past Andrej, but he was ready for her. He made a broad slashing motion and felt his nails, now more like claws, connect. A wide spray of blood burst out of a gap in her throat, looking obscenely like a second mouth.

"Gh-aack! God damn you Andrej! I will make your death a slow and painful one! And YOU my sweet child" this was directed at Lynn "I WILL taste your blood!"

She fled, leaving a trail of viscous and smelly black blood. She clearly hadn't fed in a while. She'd been weakened further by the wound he'd given her. She'd have to subsist on rats for a while, but she would return. Andrej was certain of it.

He turned around and hugged Lynn.

Lynn hugged him tightly her body shaking slightly in his arms "Thank you!" She said her voice breaking "Is she- shes going to come back for Us isnt she?" Lynn said sadly. She had to tell her parents to leave she was one of the main protecter of fae she had to move them from this city even if it meant risking herself. She knew they would be deeply upset but she was the last fae and would not let (the slowly growing back) fae population decrease further especially since the massacre. She looked up at Andrej who had anger and concern etched in his features.

"Andrej ... We cannot-I cannot put others at risk and you must not risk yourself. I fear next time she will not be alone and idk how id react to losing anyone I love I try not to succmb to dark fae pors but I fear that if something tragic happens it might come to that".she said truly scared and worried

"The question of me putting myself in harms way is now academic, sweet Lynn. She'll come after us both for what I did to her. We stand a better chance against her together than on our own. I will not let you face Ivana on your own!"

He hugged her fiercely, feeling genuine worry for someone for the first time since he was turned.

"We will protect each other, Lynn. You have your powers and I have my vampiric powers. Together we can do this. On our own, we will die."

He held her in his arms still. They both trembled in fright. Ivana's feral aspect was unsettling in the extreme.

Lynn nodded and leaned against his chest feeling tears well up in her eyes as Andrej held her "ok.." she said her voice cracking a bit as she held back tears" I'll stay by your side through this Andrej but this is my fault... its me she wants and now shes after us both because you disobeyed her. She let out a sob as tears wet his chest "im sorry" she said softly in tears and grabbed his hand and put it to her chest and looked inhis eyes "Andrej please... promise me that you wont risk yourself to save me.. we do this togther please. ?"

"I'll put a protective spell on us and the building but it only last for so long"

"Oh, believe me when I say she's after us both. That's not the first time i damage her. She's wanted me dead for decades. Save your spells for now, though. She's weakened and will have to spend the next few weeks in the sewers, drinking off rats."

Lynn nodded and kissed him "Ok , Andrej I understand we willl be safe for a few weeks but then after we wont" she sighed " I trust you and I know you wont let her win your stronger than her." Lynn kissed him softly and gave a gentle smile before heading to sit. She looked at his hand with the blood "Are you ok? The talons dont hurt right?

Andrej looked down at his bloodsoaked hands. It did hurt a little, but he didn't want to fish for her sympathy. "I'm guessing it hurt her more than it hurt me" he said with a wry smile.

"Now Lynn, I need you to forget about some of the erroneous folklore regarding my kind. 'Holy' water is just water. It makes us wet. That's it. Crucifixes and other holy symbols? Nice to look at, won't harm us. A stake through the heart and decapitation will do the job nicely. Fire, magical or otherwise, will do the job as well. Most destructive magic will do the job as well. I know you're powerful with your magic, maybe even more powerful than you yourself know, Lynn."

He washed his hands of Ivana's blood as he talked. Then a thought struck him. Ivana was weak and vulnerable. If they were to search for her, hunt her down and kill her...

"Lynn, can you use her blood to track Ivana? We've been too defensive in our thinking. We need to hunt her down and destroy her like the vermin she is."

Lynn shook her head "I havent really had use for tracking spells but im sure if I get the right one I could track her or use potion to get a trace itll show a silver trail visible and well be able to find her wherever she goes but it uses rare ingredients Andrej if that doesn't work ill try to strongest spell." She quickly ran for her ourse to grab cotton swabs and took samples from his hands " This should be enough" she saud looking at them and placing them in plastic in her bag.

" I kinda knew the cross and water thing was true I mean what make that water holy anyway right?" She giggled shaking her head the whole concept is silly.

"For what she's done to your people, I want her to suffer" Andrej growled. He'd drunk from fae from time to time, but he never drained any of his contributors. He'd yet to kill anyone at all. He was prepared to annihilate Ivana now.

"Where do we begin, Lynn?"

Lynn stared at the vial of Ivana's blood "Your right she is growing weaker she has few fae cells but theyre strong she has a few months left of strength but if shes feeding slowly shell be strong enough to hurt us. Im fae we dont believe in killing because it turns us dark which is where witches and dark fairies come in using power and dark magic purely for personal reason". She looked at him "That is what im afraid of Andrej ..that if I kill ger ill turn dark I hardly tey using my power but Im required to becaise they feel im slipping away from what we are and being to human, ecen though my father was."
