Anybody else find that the Southern accent gets a lot stronger when drinking? Mine is usually pretty slight, just softening up the words a little, but if I've had even one glass of wine it starts to increase and I find myself using all sorts of expressions of my mother's or grandmother's that I haven't thought of in years.

Also, a strange question: what do you call the burners on the top of the stove? I was in college before I knew anybody called them burners. We always called them eyes (which is pretty creepy when you think about it). I've talked to a lot of Southerners and it seems to be a totally random assortment of people, scattered all over, who inherited this "eyes of the stove" quirk.

LOL, yep it comes out worse when drinkin or when I get really pissed off. Oh and we call em stove eyes too. Never thought of callin em anything else.

Hey old twodogs looking for a place to sleep ,can i stay here?
It's good to get back to the south where i belong, i don't fit in up there .
Boy i have forgot just how nice it is here so calm sunny warm.
I will watch the pies that are cooling in the window .
Boy i use to have so much fun ,back then southern rock music was hot , god the dancing i use to do .
There was not a bashful bone in the women there , hell you were lucky to get to sit down .
You know they say it does'nt make a differance in the way people treat you no matter where you are from not true .
Southern girls no how to take good care of you and don't even have to work at it ,it's just comes on so easy .
Yes i'm a little home sick today , i'm down for a while i can't get things to go right for me any more , it's me i know .
