Also, a strange question: what do you call the burners on the top of the stove? I was in college before I knew anybody called them burners. We always called them eyes (which is pretty creepy when you think about it). I've talked to a lot of Southerners and it seems to be a totally random assortment of people, scattered all over, who inherited this "eyes of the stove" quirk.
