Sometimes. I don't say a phone is with me all the time, but now and again I will continue something to keep up to time and schedule. Of course the bloke does have to watch out he doesn't strip off for a shower not knowing I am facetiming otherwise friends cop an eyeful.
Its a shower nation over here. You'd slowly go broke if you had to pay for the water for a couple of baths in a household per day. Most people that move here from nations without water charges work that out in the first quarter's bills. (The pool is topped up by filtered water from underground so thats not an issue for us.)
Satellite internet has been on the blink for the past week or so but has righted itself now. Downloads were ok, uploads were fine for text but anything with attachments were not getting through.
I have been down at the farm on the south coast. It is close to the ocean, but the Southern Ocean facing towards Antarctica, not the usual Indian Ocean. Mid winter so it has been pretty cold overnight, but the rain cleared up and blue skies prevailed for most of the last 4 or 5 days. The warm north to south current has made it around the corner, so daytime temperatures and the water temperature is about equal so everyone is surfing and swimming mid-day.
I came across the spot on the river where we used to swim as kids after school. Like then, someone has climbed a tree and tied a rope so you can swing out into the river. We used to bolt like hares out of the school gates and take the gravel road through the forest to get down there. No towels, you used to just strip down to your knickers then use your blouse/shirt afterwards to dry off a bit to put your clothes back on to head home after a spot of bombing into the river.
All said though, night times and mornings are a bit frozen, so you drop your pajamas the bare minimum for anything and then dive back under the covers. So consider a bum peek luxurious for evening fun on the farm.
The farm has flat blocks and bush forest paddocks as well. Grain and other crops on the low land as well dairy cows. Dairy, sheep and alpacas on the hillier forest blocks. There are bee hives around most of the bush block which produce honey and they are moved around the place to help with crop pollination as well.
