Svenskaflicka,

I love the new Av. You dirty girl you. Remembering the story behind the picture. Way to go!

You guys realize that I'm the one in the middle, right?

Oh! I have a pic of Hubby, where he's even more muscular than the guy to the right...

I'd like to hear that story one of these days, heheheh. Sounds like it'd be a good one.

I'm watching "Prince of Thieves".

How the EFF could Lady Marion choose that fat nobody Kevin Costner over sexy bad boy Alan Rickman???

I never thought Costner was fat in that movie. However, Christian Slater's role was pretty cool.

Slater also made it into a book called "Blunders & Mistakes In Movies" by that role. In the scene where Costner is catapulted into the castle, Slater exclaims "Fuck, he made it!" about 600 years before "fuck" became an expression.

Later last night, I also watched the parody of this movie, Mel Brooks' "Robin Hood - Men In Tights", which I like much better, even sans Alan.
I love the scene where the cutie who plays Will Scarlet introduces himself by his full name, Will Scarlet O'Hara, and explains that he's originally from Georgia.

Later, when he demonstrates his skill with knives, Robin's friend Achoo has the wonderful comment: "Where in Georgia do you come from? SOUTH CENTRAL?"

The best line of the entire movie, however, is when Robin Hood gives a little pinch to Costner: "Unlike other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent!":D :D :D

Svenska,
Love the AV.

You may have covered this in another thread, but I was wondering.... did you get to see the hubby over the holidays? I hope so...
*fingers crossed*

Men in Tights is a Mel Brooks classic. You can't go wrong with Carey Elwes.

And Christian Slater's english accent was much, much better than Costner's...

Carey Elwes. The Robin Hood from Men In Tights, and the Man in Black/Westley the farm boy from The Princess Bride.

Thank you.

No, I didn't get to see Hubby this X-mas either. That's the 3rd X-mas in a row that we've spent apart. He was working.
While the family men of his company were free, home with their kids, he was in the office, getting a double pay.

He says that he'll come here in January. Sadly enough, I'm rather pessimistic about this really happening. He was supposed to come here in September, then in November, now in January...

If he had cancelled on me because he was doing something funnier, I'd atleast have the moral right to be angry and disappointed. But with him working hard to make money for our future, I can't even complain without feeling like a selfish bitch!:(

Still doesn't convince me, raphy. I watched Hubby's favourite-movie-ever this summer, The River Runs Wild, and I kept waiting for the commercial breaks. And then, when there's FINALLY any action in the boring flick - it ends!

SF) What are they doing? What about the guy that got killed? Aren't they going to look for his murderer?

Hubby) No, this is the end of the movie.

SF) What the fuck is this? Finally, something's happening, and it starts getting exciting, and then they don't even look for the murderer??

Hubby) No, they just go fishing. The murder isn't important. It's just part of the movie. The guy was self-destructive, and he died, and the others move on. That's what the movie is all about.

SF) And this is your favourite movie ever?

Hubby) Yes. I must have seen it atleast 5 times already.

After that, I'm not impressed when someone tells me about their "favourite movie ever" - they might have a completely different taste than me.

I can't comment on the River Runs.. I've never seen it ;)

That said - I've never spoken to anyone who hasn't liked the Princess Bride......

I'll put it on my To Watch-list.

Right after Hubby's suggestions "Roger & I" and "Bowling For Columbine"...

The first time he mentioned the first movie, I though he was referring to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

We're getting a second TV and VCR...
