I dunno. Way back then I used to eat a lot of sushi. Now my sushi consumption is near 0. But I seem fine. I feel fine. And I look fine. :D

I dunno. I eat a lot of seafood though. The only thing I've noticed is that I don't age as much as the next guy. I look very young for my age.

I don't believe they are. Good point. Edit that from my question. Better yet, I'll do it.

;)

Not all sushi is raw; sushi is a style of preparation.
It took me a while to figure that one out.

For you hard-core sushi lovers, try one of my favorites...ahi, sashimi style.

Damnit, a sushi fan. Too bad I'm leaving, I could have asked you for places to get it.

You're right...there are California rolls and unagi to name a few.

lol..it's too bad you're leaving. We could have hung out. I'm the male anti-social version of you...I'm dark and brooding and write depressive poetry while wearing all black. lol

Maki Sushi, in La Jolla! :D

:D We've been to Tokyo house and some buffet place, both in PB. Maybe I can get him to take me for some before we go. Hehe.

Love the stuff. Can't get enough. When I die I wanna be thinly sliced and dipped in soy and wasabi.

There's PB Sushi, Taka in the Gaslamp, Todai and Onamis, Sushi on the Rock, and one of my favorites...the sushi bar at Cafe Japengo.

Angel, you've missed out.

Todai is my favoritest place ever. It's nation-wide though, I think.

It's mostly on the west coast in locations that have a high concentration of Asians. Go figgah!

I went to the location in Honolulu and I was not impressed with the food. The Mission Valley location is excellent!

not all fish can be eaten raw. most white fishes (trout, bass) are not safe raw because of bacteria levels. Dark fish like salmon and tuna are totally cool though. before it is sushi grade it has to get tested every which way and then deep frozen and flash thawed. at least those are the rules in the US

I love sushi, sashimi and Japanese food in general. And wasabi is the most perfect sinus clearer I've ever found. That with a nice shot of sake and I'm set.

Has anyone every heard of a Sare (pronounced sarray) style roll? There is this joint by my work that will make a regular spicy shrimp roll, but if you ask them for that roll Sare style then you get little crunchy bits sprinkled on top and a dab of chili suace in top of that. It's really freaking good. Anyway I've been tempted to ask for it at other places and in other cities but I have this vision of me trying to explain it and them laughing and pointing and making hand gestures implying that I asked them to make some kind of flippin' frankenstein roll. So to keep me from having to embarrass myself can you all go to your fav japanese place and ask for a sare roll?

hahahaahha :)

Anyone ever heard of or better yet tried one of these?
