Coke

No other "soda" or "pop" is allowed to be talked about, drank or even brought into our house. :)

It's that way here too, but that's just me. In this case I know it's just me, because I'm the only one here, & I rarely entertain guests here.

I guess I'm a soda whore, I drink whatever is on sale, Diet Coke or Pepsi One, makes no difference to me.

I spent some time in the south, so I still call them soda out of habit. If the server looks confused, I'll say "pop."

I have to say that it still confuses me when people ask "What kind of coke do you want?" I think that's a southwest thing, if I'm not mistaken.

In Minnesota, one peculiarity that I've heard other people comment on is the way we don't always finish our sentences. It may be bad grammar, but there it is. For example; if I was going to a movie and wanted to invite you, I might ask "I'm going to a movie--do you want to come with?" rather than "I'm going to a movie--do you want to come with me?"

The area I live in...

We call a movie....the show...like...

"Hey, y'all what to go to the show..."

Also, another one I just remembered....

"Anyone going to the city?"

Sodas work where I am from, but you can get the results you're looking for if you say pop.

Soda has a big lead at this point, but I still believe that POP rules...

I have set this up for a 14 day run....(not one of those polls that keeps going and going and going....oh my I best stop....

Don't need the engerized bunny on my ass.....

Enjoy everyone....not a bad way to build some post to reach that magic number 100...is it?

LOL

In VA we say soda...I PMed PLS once and she referred to it as Pop...I didn't tell her...but I thought that was SOOOO weird....

"Soda" is sissified....

It's "Pop" everywhere I've been that had at least one gas station! Around where I grew up, people interjected the word "see?" in the sentences sounding like a gangster movie, see?
Some places I was stationed pronounced tire as "tar".
Some other places pronounced Oregon, as "Oreegone."

:D

We have three gas stations here and it is still pop....

We have more gas stations than traffic lights....

3-2;;;;

Our new (first year football team, high school) has more victories, 3-0,
than street traffic lights....

Ok, so I revisiting to check on the poll.

Seem to me that is may be a poll of short interest.

Thank you all and have a good day.
