Surreally Yours, EctoJohn

I concur , nice work E.J. I appreciate your creativity.and the happy Lil clouds... Don't stop my friend...

Thank you again.
I don't know if you'd consider them happy little clouds, but they are happy little me. :D

Onward to the next artwork.

Well, it took quite a few days to make another piece, but I finally did it.
This one I'm calling "The Lightbringer".
Once again, nearly everything except the sky and ground is me naked (or parts).
The smaller background mountains are also not me, the bigger, more foreground mountains are.

Hope you all enjoy this one just as much.
I'm enjoying doing these, and already have 3 additional ideas after this one. :D

This is utterly brilliant. I have a feeling that Dali would have totally approved. :rose:

Yay!! I can't wait to see what you do next!

It should be fun.
One of my ideas, though, is going to require some interesting camera work.
Still not sure how I can set it up to get the angle I need.

Some angles are really hard to do by yourself, so I got one of those flexible tri-pods and it helped a lot!

lol, I'm not even sure a tri-pod would help.
How do you take a picture of yourself from over head without a ladder and a photographer?

My brain is trying to conceive a way to hang my camera from my ceiling fan so that I can hit a timer and it not go all wibbly wobbly, ruining the focus. :D

Get one of those tri-pods. You can wrap the legs around the blade of the fan, trust me, I've had that thing on just about everything. Get a small one, they're only about 6 to 8 inches tall, very portable.

I have a selfie stick with a remote. The remote works with out my phone being on the selfie stick. Amazon - was around 12 to 15 dollars.

Both probably reasonable suggestions I would look into, but not sure it's worth it for a single picture. I have no plans to do such a weird angle again.

Also, I'm using an actual camera camera, not a cell phone.
Selfie sticks don't work for that.

Alright, so it's been a LONG while between images,
but I promise I didn't forget about this thread.
I still have ideas for it, I just haven't gotten around to it in forever.

I'm back at it now, and I now have a NEW piece of artwork.
This one is titled "Full Being".

Enjoy! :)

I was squinting up a storm to see if anything was on that canvas, do you paint as well? Very creative again John, thank you!

I've been trying to get into painting.
Oddly enough, that pose was taken in front of an actual easel with a painting on it I did, but the one you see here isn't my real one.

Can you work that into your next one? I'd love to see it! :)

lol, There's nothing special about my real easel.
It's a cheap thing I bought on Amazon.
It's just good enough that I can use a canvas without leaning over a table. :p

I'll think about it.
Maybe if I do another actual real life painting, I'll Photoshop myself into it. :D

Your work is really cool and different. The more I look, the more I see. Nice! :rose:

That's really stunning, EJ. Did you take the body shot specially with this in mind, or was it one you had which prompted the idea?

Extraordinarily creative. Love it.

Sweet! I was just curious about what you paint, I love paintings. :)

Thank you! :)

All the body shots in this I took specifically for this one,
When I did the first image in this thread, I took about a dozen or more random poses
to uses as pieces for that and future images, but as it turns out, I keep needing more.

Sweet! I was just curious about what you paint, I love paintings. :)

I've only done 3 since last year, 1 acrylic and 2 oils.
It's all Bob Ross style stuff, although I am not that good at actual painting.
The stuff in this thread is all Photoshop.

I attached a pic of the most recent oil painting I've done.
Again, I'm not good, so don't expect much.
It was still wet when I took the pic, so it's a bit glossy here.

These are really interesting and the photoshop skill is impressive. I am a big Dali fan which you may or may not have noticed (my walls are covered with canvas and prints, most of the prints are Dali, so they are likely in the bsckground of much of what I share) I also really enjoy a lot of Escher's work too.

The Full Being is really neat. So, are the poses very deliberate? Like the juxtaposition of the seemingly incongruent parts are demonstrating that the integration of the contradiction is what forms a complete human identity? Or was it more fluid with simply what seemed to work?
