Supporting Red...

 It's a scary path and one I am both fearful of trodding and yet anxious to get started. I feel bad for staying here till I get the funds to leave. I've never used another person and yet I feel I am now, because I have no means to leave at this point. For the last 13 years (14 in Sept.) I have been dependent on him for everything, I look forward to being dependent on myself. Something I've never been before, but something I do so desperately want to try and do.

((((((((HUGS)))))))  I do so hope you get to the point where the blues are no longer an issue for you.

I understand perfectly but it isn't as if you haven't done more than your duty for almost 14 years.

I may take the same steps someday although my challenges call for greater imagination to become self supporting.

Therein lies the curse of the blues...

Its just temporary but thank you...

Yeah they are! We have one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen but there's no freon (sp) in that one......Now if I could only get New out of bed
We have central air, but one room (the bedroom) doesn't get the air very well from the vent. So we purchased a small one for that room alone. Well, we just added refrigerator hunting to the list of things to do today.

That's one thing we don't need although we do need to get a freezer

I'd like to become self supporting through a simple job at first, then go back to school. I'd like to take Culinary classes and become a Chef. :) To do that now wouldn't work, because I'd have to move away and I need $$ to do that and be able to travel back to see the kids, (because he's already told me - if I leave, I leave them too. I won't fight him. He's not a bad person. He's a great father and honestly, he'd be able to provide for them financially more than I can. He makes 100K a year. )

 Huggsssssssss.....You're a much braver person than I am
I don't feel brave. Sometimes I feel like a selfish bitch who is thinking only of herself. But I know that's not entirely true, or I would have stayed in Texas and not come home. But I couldn't do that to the kids. They are the only thing keeping me here right now. I'd be able to leave quicker if it wasn't for being a mom, but I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything.

We've been nursing this one along for a while. The spouse finally admitted it was time to get a new one. I think it's the mushy ice cream that he had to eat that finally drove the point home.

That would allow you the necessary freedom and opportunity to begin making your way and I hope that it works for you emotionally. It isn't an easy thing for a mother...

I never had children of my own but was almost a step father...

Well, my creativity is urging me toward writting today so I think I'll see what I can do.

Funny that the urge doesn't always mesh with natural flow and vis versa.

It is that freedom that makes me feel selfish. *sigh* There are no easy answers are there?

Good luck with the muse. :D I'm working off and on a Wicked Tale addition, revolving around Rumpelstiltskin. I'm about 2/3rds finished. :D

*snugglehuggle Red!* Sorry it's been a couple of days...I kept sleeping through...

Hey there death.

I'm home from the nature walk, a trip to the local Wally World, and supper at Pizza Hut.

I'm kinda freezin'! The walk was great, however. . . we did the mile long trail in a rain storm.

I bought a new pair of jeans today. Didn't try them on at the store, and just now remembered I bought them. They're tight, but by golly they fit. I didn't have to lay down on the bed either to zip or button them up. What size.... size 18. :nana: w00t!!!!! (I bought size 16 shorts... I have a long ways to go for those. LOL).

Coolies. *hugs for Red*  :rose:

I'm in Indy for the focus group the hospital invited me too. :D

I changed rooms, so now I have two double beds, instead of my King one. They asked me at the front desk if I minded changing because they have a married couple coming in and the guy is like really tall and wanted a King bed. They didn't have one, so they asked if I'd take a double. *shrugs* No biggie for me. If I'd have had a partner with me, then I'd have turned it down... Though two beds in one room makes it nice if one gets a bit .... wet from vigorous rolling around.

Lol! Well, in that case the two beds would be rather fun wouldn't they...all the more to destroy...ant the shower, and the pool, and the hot tub. . .

Hope the thing was fun, but even if it wasn't, at least you got paid very well for it...I'm assuming however that they put you up in the hotel?

No, they didn't, but that doesn't matter to me. I got a day off from the kids and the spouse, that's worth whatever $$ I have to dish out. lol... I won the 25.00 door prize. :nana:

Now. . .just because I am a gastric bypass patient, doesn't mean I am always wise. ;) I should NEVER go shopping while hungry. LOL

But. . .

I went shopping while I was hungry and bought a bunch of stuff. 3/4 of it I won't eat. lol. I'll be taking it home. lol

I have a large bottle of salsa, a large bag of chips, 2 different flavors of pretzels, cookies, microwave meals ( I couldn't decide which one I wanted for supper, so I bought 4 ) . . . a 2 liter of Mt. Dew and of course my smirnoffs. . .

NOW realistically. I'll eat one meal and maybe snack later on a handful of chips with salsa. My kids are gonna love me when I get home.

It should be a rule. I thought tonight, I should keep a pack of crackers in the truck, eat one and then go shopping. lol Kids definitely make it more expensive. lol
