Just another quick update.....

I spoke with Red just a bit ago....she has one more minor surgery tomorrow and if all goes well, she should be home Tuesday or Wednesday. She is in great spirits and in very little pain. She said to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers.

Hi all.

I am home and have an open wound now, instead of a closed infected incision. Hub and my mom will be packing it for me for about 1 mth.

The infection was bad. . . It destroyed all the skin down to the bottom layer and even some abdominal muscle. I have a couple antibiotics and a pain killer to take for a while as things heal.

But that is all second to what I really want to say. . .

I am getting better everyday. I do tire easily, so I'm not online as much. I can move around pretty good for a gal with a giant hole in her stomach.

I see the surgeon today at 4pm and we'll learn if we are to keep packing the wound or if they will put a wound-vac in or close the wound. With either of the last two options I'll need another surgery. *sigh* It is a long road ahead, isn't it. *sigh* & *shrug*

I have finally lost all that Saline solution weight they gave me in the hospital. So I am down to 294. I think that is the lowest I've been since starting this thread. That's down 109 lbs!
