Supporting Red...

Again, we don't see ourselves the way others do. I wish I could see myself the way hubby does. He finds me beautiful and sexy. I wish I saw the woman he sees.

Well your hubby obviously loves you for YOU. That's the best thing ya know :) I'll give you a short story. I was dating a girl about 2 years ago. I told her I was going to the gym, going to lose weight and put some muscle on my body. You know the first thing she said? "You're going to leave me" Umm.... I didn't know just because I wanted to lose weight and be more muscular equated to leaving somebody. She was extremely insecure I guess. Then again she is a big girl and has ZERO intention of losing weight. She wants to be big.

She hates spending money on pants and then having to sew them. . .:p wrong words, but you knew what I meant. ;)

When I first started researching this surgery five years ago, my husband told me I would leave him for someone better when I got thin. I looked at him and told him, I would not do that. He loved me for what I feel is at my worst and I would not want a man that didn't want me at my worst, but only at my best.

He is looking forward to the changes too and remarks on everything that has changed, today it was the slimness of my ankles. . .LOL... slimness is not a word I would have ever associated with myself. :)

I understand completely. :rose: Others say things that make me wonder what they're talking about. I don't see myself the way some others do at all.
*hugs* I think there are many men and women like that.

:) You have an awesome hubby then. He's supportive of you in whatever you do. Too bad a lot of guys and gals these days can't be into that. The whole support each other in whatever they do stage. My girlfriend is supportive of me that I go to the gym. She's got extra weight on her, but I don't care. She and I got a lot in common. If she decided to go to the gym and lose weight as well, I'd be supportive of her.

I am glad you would be there for her. Support is the big thing in stepping out of the box and deciding to do something different, whether it be weight or something else.

Without a support team you can be set up to fail. I love this thread, because of the fact that when my team is at school or at work, I have my friends here. :) :rose:  :)

You know, I'm so used to not having any kind of support, not even from family. I told my grandmother I was going back to college and the first words out of her mouth were "You failed at it once, you'll fail again" I'm like okay, forget I even said anything to you. I built myself up to being my own support system I guess. Yes, the one thing I like about Lit is some of the friends I've made here :D Mostly you and Wyld because you're the two I speak to the most often  :rose:

 We like you too. :D

Lit has done so much for me, from opening up myself sexually as well as my spouse, to writing, and to gaining friends from all corners of the world. It has its flaws, but there are so many positive things that they outweigh the negativity.

Lit has opened me up a lot as well. I'm still close minded on several things, but MOSTLY because they don't turn me on

Ohhhh there are things that don't turn me on too, but I don't see that as close minded. Close minded in my opinion is not seeing that others have the right to enjoy those kinks, even if we don't agree with all of them.

My mom didn't go to college but she's making 50k a year at UPS. My step dad went to college, but he's also working at UPS making about 60k a year. My dad didn't go to college, he's not making much though. I'm going to school for medical coding. I want to work in a hospital. Wanted to be a RN, but because of a handicap, that isn't possible for me  My mom is supportive of me, but my grandma is...uhhh, cynical.

I had a girl tell me I wasn't open sexually at all just because I don't find 3somes to be a turn on. More or less a turn off to me. She also said I needed to sleep around though  Dumb girl thinks with her pussy and not her brain.

Not sure she's thinking at all. But that's just my humble opinion. She's welcome to hers, I suppose. ;)
