Red, you know my pulse used to race every time I heard your voice! I can't wait for you to get healthy, and get your life back. As someone I hope you always consider a friend, I promise to always be near for you...just call, PM or email.

And don't take too long off writing, or I may lose what editing skills I still have left! ;)

I love you, sweetie...you'll be fine. This I know...

 Woody

Damn. . .Used to!!! (runs off to pull audios off of lit. . .)

 You know I'll keep you up to date and use you for support too.

My question. . .do you really think I'm not going to be writing??????? :D :p

Good Luck Red!

Sethp and his minions wish you well! Ok it's just me and Busty J but and she's not really my minion. ok "I" wish you the best... and remember...

The better you review my stories the faster your recovery will be! Isn't it funny how that works? lol...Oh wait that's just me lying to myself to make me feel better!

All joking aside. You'll be fine. I just feel that it will be so! My prayers go out to you!

Sethp

Sethp  Thanks so very much. :) I want those feelings of reassurance, so don't stop feeling them!

Hmmm. . .reviewing your stories huh? ;) :D

Good for you, Red!!! I am here for you as well! Taking a proactive approach to our struggles is the best way and it sounds like you have thought this through quite thoroughly!

You will be in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery from surgery!

Yes, Mike it helps a lot. I'm fighting a cold now, so I've not posted much today, just one here or there when I drag myself up from the bed or the couch. But already I've reread the posts and felt good about how things are going.

 Thanks Ima. I am currently craving soda. . . a big thing for me to get use to not drinking. . . Since it is carbonated they don't encourage it in your diet. I also realize how I am going to have to reteach myself to chew. I have to make sure my bites are smaller and I chew several times to make sure it is all small when it goes to the new golf-ball or egg sized stomach. . .

Hey Red...

I was a soda pop nut too but switched to Fruit2O...

It is flavored water with zero calories and zero carbs and tastes like fruit...

I can count on both hands the number of sodas I have had in the last three years. You can purchase it by the case too...

We purchase 4 or 5 cases at a time from Sam's Club.

Red, it's hard to think of something which hasn't been already said. You'll have all my hopes for a great future.

Hey little girl, is that a sugar-free lollipop? ;)

How'd the pre-testing and class go? I've been thinking of you...

Hi  :) Nice to see you. :)

I just got home from my pre op testing and my pre op class.

The testing went fairly easy. They were very fast with everything. My testing started around 8:30 and was done at 11:00. . .This included all my blood work, an upper abdominal ultrasound, an upper GI test with that nasty chalky crap they make you take, a couple breathing tests, a series of pulmonary tests and. . .hmmm oh a chest X-ray.

Then. . .I had a couple hours to kill, before my phyiscal. Where he told me I passed with flying colors. There was an irregularty in my heartbeat, but nothing to cause concern. :D

Today was the pre op class and that went well. I have several sheets that will "walk" me through what I can eat and when I can. . .

A liquid diet the first month
A liquid and pureed diet for the second month
A liquid, pureed, and some solids, the third - sixth month
and then six - twelve I can have more solids and all the other yummy (yeah. ;) ) liquid and pureed stuff.

I purchased a cookbook designed by one of their dieticians, strickly for Gastric Bypass patients, so that will be fun to experiment with. :D

Thanks for thinking of me.
