Superstition?

Dammnit, last night I ate some shrimp lo-mein for dinner and the waiter gave me a fortune cookie. Rather than woof it down right there I thought i would bring it home and have it for a snack if the munchies struck.

Stupid me. I sat on the mutherfucka and crushed it.

Is it bad luck to read the fortune from a crushed cookie? Is there something I should do? Is there anything to be done at all?

I just wouldn't feel right about flushing it down the toilet or throwing it away. Maybe I should feed it to the birds?

If it was a chocolate chip cookie and it didn't have a slip of paper in it, would you still eat it?

Read the damn fortune, eat the damn cookie and be done with it. Most fortune cookie manufacturers put feel-good messages in their fortune cookies nowadays anyway. I dont' think you have to fear too much.

I don't know! But I think you might be right. I'll just throw it away and forget about it. But to think of throwing away a fortune?
