I was outside watching the sunrise...

As it rose over the trees and a low mist .. I heard a rooster doing its sunrise thing .. and the whole thing was so beautiful and cheesy at the same time ..

Just had to share that:D

Ooooh. I close my eyes and can see and hear it too. Thank you for sharing. I needed to remember this.

Good Morning! I'm still waiting to the see the sunrise, as it has been raining here the whole week. I do pause however, to appreciate the wonder of it all. A great day to you!

Sunrise on the Mississippi Headwaters..

The fog is rising slowly off of the river waters; the trees are all barren.. The sun's golden threads are beginning to creep into the midnight blue sky; a soft glow can be seen off to the far east.. A lone bald eagle soars over the river and then lands on the ancient oak tree leaning out over the river bend.. His head swivels from side to side as he surveys his domain.. A flock of geese calls out overhead as they head further down the waterway.. While all of this is happening, I sit there on the deck sipping my hot coffee before getting ready for my school day.. Life sure is grand here in Minnesota..

I prefer sun sets to sunrises.

the only sunrise that ever got me going was in Vegas as it came over the far off mountains, the tempreture jumped in minuts the sand started to glow.

but I don't think i'll see anything like that again, so i'd rather watch the sun set over water.

Sitting on the beach

watching the sun rise (seemingly) out of the ocean--the pure uninterupted horizon--is something not to be missed. And usually (in my personal experience) it was after a long, full night of whatever that found me at that magical time and place.

Morning,

I prefer sunsets to sunrises, also. I think mostly because I hate getting up early.

Sunrise?

It was a dark, dank and damp morning here in Dallas; no sunrise to speak of, only the blackened clouds molting to a lighter, but still dreary shade of gray. The trees here are just beginning to shed their leaves, and after the rain yesterday, their musky scent was in the air.

*yawns, and reaches for another cup of coffee*

Saw something like that before on one of my many trips to Vegas. It was a nice thing to see, atleast once.

Thank you for sharing CK. You are fortunate. I have hardly seen the sun, let alone the sunrise.
By the time I get up in the morning it is cold, gray and raining here. It has been like this for several days now!:(
