I got to see this movie last night...

if you like more of a chess-type movie...lots of buildup..then you'll like this movie..it's not the kind with lots of action or anything. I really liked it. I didn't think Ben Afleck and Morgan freeman would flow well on the same movie, but i was pleasantly surprised. Obviously, with the big movies like SWII and Spider-man, it won't be as much of a blockbuster as it would have maybe been last year. But all in all, i give it a four out of five stars.

They changed too much from the book. I hated it, I loved the book.

i didn't even know it WAS a book...now i'll have to go find it. They always say the book is better than the movie made for it, anyway though.

Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan? No fucking way. I'm horrendously offended by the very idea. Not to mention he's just too young for the part.

Jack Ryan's character in the book is older and already married, plus the whole plot is different, with a different villain. The villain in the book is Middle Eastern terrorist, not facist. Their goal was the same, it just lost a lot when they changed that part.
