Suggestions on Networking

Short of sounding pitiful...I need a friend!

I'd like to find a fellow author to correspond with. I had one...but he's not there anymore. I do my best work when I have someone to flirt, converse, tease with.

How would you suggest I do it? A Lit Personal Ad, perhaps?

I can't use the forums - I can do that a little but not as a regular way to communicate. I do a lot of my note writing at work and I can't get to the forums there. So I need to meet someone and then take up comms on regular. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

My best suggestion would be to simply spend time on the boards, though not at work. I'm sure you'll find friends aplenty.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd find it a bit awkward to jump into regularly flirting/teasing/conversing with someone I didn't at least feel like I knew a little bit beforehand.
