suggestions needed, please

Hello

I am after getting a birthday present for a dom that i have recently been playing with, he is very very new to the scene and is really interested in the psycology (sp) behind it. i have looked at a few books, "the loving Dominant" and "screw the roses, send me the thorns" and they seem to be mainly just how to guides.

Was wondering anyone had any alternative suggestions.

Psychopathia Sexualis by Richard von Kraft-Ebbing is the seminal tome on the psychology of SM as deviance, and Different Loving by Gloria Brame is a great read on the lifestyle.
