With all the talk about how people think this board should go, I thought I'd start a suggestion thread.
This idea came about from work though, because whilst working I was trying to think of an idea for our own suggestion box. I'm sure most places have these, but whether or not individual suggestions ever get noticed is another thing. lol
Anyway, I work in a supermarket on the night shift. I even have a title (replenishment assistant) yeah right, I'm a shelf filler. lol
Now the only thing wrong with this job is that we can't seem to keep the overs stock under control. So my suggestion was to allow the computer that is built into the tills (checkout) to order a carton of what ever, when it knows that a carton has been sold.
Pretty simple you'd think, however this has been thought of before apparently, and because the stock is always a day late it leaves some shelves empty. So this was my solution:
Allow the checkouts to make a note of what we have left in stock (the overs) as opposed to what we need. That way, if someone who didn't know we had that certain item in stock ordered it, the computer could automatically cancel that order there by bringing down the overs. Simple!
Now back to the scheduled program. If you had a sensible suggestion of how to change this board, what would it be?
