i don't remember ever seeing a fight that ali or leonard were in that wasn't well fought and either won or loss with class. now we've got mike tyson biting off ears and celebrity freakin' boxing. add those to "reality tv" and i really worry about the collective mentality of the world. yes elizabeth, sometimes the good old days really were the good old days.
Don't think Leonard would ever fight again - bad eye. Why lose your sight?
I used to be a great fan of boxing, (my dad was a boxer), but after seeing some of the decisions the past couple of months, it seems professional boxing is going the way of the WWF.
hagler was probably one of the top middleweights of all
time he was robbed in the fight with leonard .
but why was leonard regarded as a hero yet
hagler never got that. can anyone explain this ?
Hagler always used to play himself as the bad guy, unless you lived in the Boston area you never knew how much he did for charities and such. Leonard on the other hand played to the crowd and the masses.
And yes Hagler was robbed.

I was 13 and left with my sister home alone because my 'rents went to Vegas, and they came back with souvenier T-shirts for us.
I know and follow boxing because my 'rents are fanatics, thus their thinking that a 13 year old and 8 year old are capable of taking care of themselves for a weekend.
if its left to the boxers then i think lewis will find the first
round or two hard going , and then he will start using that
ace jab of his too overwhelm tyson in eight
but if mr hairstyle don king has anything to do with the
outcome who knows ?
