My dad was a mechanic and car builder. He built everything from hot rods to Late Model race cars. He was always a big fan of Fords so I guess that leaked over onto me. Fairlanes, Mustangs and Cobras were always the cars that made me weak in the knees.
There was a man that was really close with my dad who had a real Shelby Cobra that was worth a small fortune. He used to take me for a ride when I was almost too little to see over the dash. I still can remember the rumble and the rough ride like it was yesterday.

One thing that drives me totally crazy and is a huge turn off about cars is when I hear someone is putting a Chevy motor in a Ford or vice-versa. It's another of those quirks I picked up from my dad.
