So what do you do while you wait? Commit armed robbery of course.

Now that dumb kid who just turned 18 and picked up his inheritance has 2 weeks to pay a good sized portion of said inheritance for fines (because he was convicted of armed robbery and got probation) or I will put him right back in jail, his probation will be violated, and he will most likely go to prison for a couple years.

He wasn't bright enough to just wait for the inheritance he KNEW was comming.....he just had to go rob that store.

Oh that's nothing, man. Here, they re-fi through us, then come back to us to buy stocks. Everything is in a nifty, agile, simplistically complex database, so I've been able to run simple sql queries on people who've re-fi'd and then bought over $999.99 or $9999.99 in securities AFTER that. Then you just track the value of the securities and whichever ones dropped, you know that sucker is going to be in trouble.

Your jaw would drop at what came out. I wish I could say numbers, oh I wish.

It only takes 1 or 2 incidents like that to make my boss conf call with me to discuss mining the database for these incidents and doing something. With this system it's easy to do, technically: catch someone who has re-fi'd and who is now buying lots of stocks, and stop the transaction and verify via customer contact that this cash isn't from the re-fi. It's a certainty that it is.

I can't believe we had a conf call over this exact issue just a few weeks ago.
