Is that a plastic Aslan?

That guy gets around.

remy that gun is very steam punky. I can't figure out of the ammo would work or if it's facing the right way.

Its acutally a nerf gun that runs off of D batteries. The belt is in there right. I got a pair of old welding goggles in the other day. I probably wont add too much more to it for a while.

Well, now that is just awesome.

I like the paint job particularly, nice texture.

Did you model it from anything or just come up with the design in your head?

There was a guy online who did a tutorial on the same model of gun. He went much more in depth then I did though. He disassembeled the whole thing and sanded all the nerf logos off. He also added more greens to show oxidation and damages. Its basically flat black spray paint. I then sprayed some textured metallic copper on a sheet of cardboard and brushed it over the black.

Is that the Nerf ammo or did you make spacers? I think I had one of these guns for my son at one point.

We also had a role play tradition in 1 of the games I played where we'd give nerf weapons to the kids...Nerf War Hammer Of Doom.

Its a belt that takes nerf darts. This model was a belt fed nerf machine gun. I think I have 3 25 round belts.

Everyone has such cool stuff! (Looks around frantically)Yeah, I got nothing right now but an asshole cat and a bunch of packed up stuff

fermina :) sorry about not having the time to stalk, and yep, i missed your posts about divorce. all i can say is 'this too shall pass' and the future's filled with possibilities for you and little :rose:

That video was hilarious!!!! Totally makes up for the lack of stalking. As for the divorce, the marriage has technically been over for two years. And you are completely right...the little and I have a huge future in front of us...too bad that asshole cat is coming with us.

My baby. The picture doesn't show all the battle scars this has.

Alright - if you're showing YOUR baby I may have to tell the man to come visit in here and look. He plays guitar as well (and has guitars). As someone who plays piano I don't quite understand his talk when says stuff about the strings or type of guitar.

So all I can say is...how pretty!

Oh I have many as well. They kind of become addictions. There's a thread here somewhere where another lister asked me how many I had. It was bad I had to stop and think. There are only two I really play a lot though. I have a red fender strat and my acoustic there.

Okay - I'll tell him to stop by so you two can geek out about it. I know he's said strat before. ;) He and I can talk music; I just feel bad when he starts talking his guitars and I'm like so is that who MAKES it or........

This guitar gets a lot of play too. I play a lot of slide on it.

Okay, again, know nothing of guitars...it's very intriguing looking. Please explain it to me...is it supposed to look like that? Does it look like that simply for aesthetic purposes? Does it serve a musical function? I know you said "play a lot of slide on it." I do have a musical background, but it's mostly piano (did play violin in middle school and high school but dropped it as soon I was handed my diploma).

Yes it's supposed to look like that. The big metal thing is called a resonator. They came about in the 1920s or so and were louder then your standard acoustic guitar. Guitar players in the big brass and jazz bands played them so they could be heard over the other instruments. Once electric guitars came out these kind of went by the wayside. The old delta blues guys loved em though and they are used in country because of how twangy they are.

Slide is just a style of guitar playing.

Here's an example.

The video definitely helped. Thanks! Now I get it.

LOL - well, I only tinker these days. My dreams of being a musician are long gone.

Here are my guitars with my baby in the middle. It's an '86 Fender Strat...
