Stuck on gay male

First time post, and finding my way around the site, so please be kind.

I'm a straight, married woman in my mid forties. I'm finding that the stories that I'm most drawn to are the gay male stories. I've fallen in love with MM relationships. I have several gay male friends and I consider their friendships among my most treasured. Why am I so attracted to a world where I don't fit as a female? Why can't other people see the beauty in gay relationships? Thank you for the stories.

Thank you to both of you for your replies.

I meant to say that I wasn't a part of their "intimate" world, Etoile. I love my gay friends very much. They add a richness to my life that I wouldn't trade for anything. One couple that I'm friends with, have been together as long as my husband and I have been together, nearly 26 years. We always compare notes on being an "old married couple."
