I want to write, but I don't. And I can, but I can't.
I'm home from work for the next few weeks on what you'd call a seasonal break thingie. This should be awesome.
My girlfriend just got home from two years in Boston at a school for book binding & restoration (last formal program for such in the country, from what I can tell). We're moving into a new home in just a couple weeks. This is awesome.
Except for now we're sharing my one-bedroom apartment. We're both constantly hanging out in the living room. I'm at my desk behind my computer screen and she's on the couch playing the hell out of Skyrim on the PlayStation.
And so I cannot write. I can't start stories. I can't pick up with stories I've started. I could do it for about a week, given that I have earplug headphones and the computer monitor *mostly* blocks my view of her and the television, but... ARGH.
I love her dearly. I'm so glad she's home. But this disruption of my writing productivity when I've finally got all this time on my hands is really frustrating.
Thanks for reading about my pain, Literoticans. I knew you cared. I knew you really, really cared.
