Bumping this back to the front. I know most women are self conscious about the marks, but everyone please remember- scars, stretch marks, etc are the souvenirs we all carry from our life. They are a part of us. And no one should be ashamed or mocked for a life that has been lived.

An ex lover of mine is always trying to hide her age by doing things that just make her look older. (I am betting that the next step will be for her to get one of those little old lady permanents with tight curls as a measure to hide the fact that her hair is thinning a bit.) She is obsessed with her wrinkles and spends more on special creams than I spend on food. Her main reason for not having children was that she did not want the stretch marks that might negatively affect her nude modeling career.

She is a roaring bore and stands in notable contrast with the happy young at heart mother who was the most exciting playmate and lover I have ever been with. She had plenty of "laugh lines" which were just that in her case. She wore her stretch marks and C section scars like medals of honor (which they were as far as I am concerned). Even though you will never see her as the center fold in a girly magazine she stands as my model of the ideal woman.

My stretch marks are what I hate most about my body. Taking a pic to show them off is a bit unnerving but since these other beautiful weman where brave enough to do it I guess I can too. Deep breath....

I've read this thread a few times, wanted to comment and say how gorgeous you all are and how brave and honest enough to post, but was too scared to post myself. And then gave myself a kick up the arse for daring to be so vain.

So here's one from me. No clever angle or finding the best filter to flatter. I do love that so many people will go out of their way to say they find stretch marks sexy and they should be embraced. It's lovely and would love to 100% believe it for myself about myself. But that's work in progress.

To be honest I love my wife's belly she had a 9.5 lb baby and she hates her belly. But I kiss her belly very day to let her know it does not bother me as she thinks.
