LOL .. too many times i tossed something i needed a day later. if its totally wore out, disintegrating, repeatedly duct taped (my work boots) ... well, i will think about tossing it out :)

(Sidenote) Duct tape is really good for zombie attacks as well as clothing made out of leather.

Disintegrating, now there is a nice solid line to draw. Do you know that disposable razor blades can be used for years? Just need to clean and dry them thoroughly after each use. Are you a Clark Howard fan? He sounds perfect for you :)

actually do not know clark howard, will look him up. i use an elec trimmer, not sure if i have a razor .. oh wait, yes i do ... forgot i do 'groom', but is still a special elec razor.

I've never heard that saying. I'm not handy or crafty so it's not surprising.

Clark Howard is cheap, but he has really good tips on how to save money. He does a lot of research on phone deals, cable, etc. He might be on the radio too. He used to be.

heheh ... grew up hearin that one

would explain a lot, i dont read the paper, watch the news, or listen to the radio ... nothing good is ever on. my old man says i must be the happiest guy around because ignorance is bliss. i tell him im not ignorant, just willfully uninformed (grin)

Smart man. I watch Netflix and I know that 33 tv shows and movies were added in the last 5 days. That makes my list of important stuff :)

so totally agree with yer list. i had netflix till i moved into the middle of No and Where. satellite internet is expensive and streaming anything eats the data quick, then i am paying good money waiting for the day when i have data available again. my list of things to buy are either from hear-say from others or previews on dvds i buy. trying to remember the last time i updated my list but last count was 1938 movies / series
 
Mornin' y'all - time to make the donuts :)

def of donuts = coffee for me, hay and grain for horses, release the house dogs into dog-run for their b'fast, hay both cow fields, fill troughs with home-ground feed for the sheep and goat pens, last night's scraps for the pigs, scratch grains tossed around for the chickens, pidgeon feeders topped off, quail pens filled, then spray out kennels and give the working dogs their b'fast

hmm...no wonder i cringe when the dunkin donut ad plays
 
I'm basically done with being sick...so why isn't it done with me?

If I roll out of bed without squishing a dog and can get my teeth brushed before they need to go out, then I consider that my donut. It sounds like very hard work for a non-farm person. You just list it as part of your morning though. This is what makes the world work, balance. Not everyone being carbon copies of each other. Enjoy your coffee. I'll be drinking tea :)

good point, i am on autopilot when i wake up. usually everything is done before i even really start paying attention to what the day is bringing. just been a long week. i have a ton of stuff to do then pack up again to hit the road tuesday morn .. not far this time, only a few hours away but this event is 6 days. waitin to here if im headed to alabama right after tho, could turn into a really long 2 weeks heh. one day i really need to take it easy..or at least easier..on myself :)

night sugar, i have enough time for a quick sleep (just regular ole black tea for me please)
 
i would like to thank the entire crowd on here for the variety of threads i have been involved in. the trips down memory lane just bring back what a colorful life ive lived, and how different things were vs. where i am now, the new challenges and oddly hysterical moments that continue to be forthcoming...

trudgin trudgin trudgin ...made it thru today, had a couple calls so now it looks like after that six day event comin up, i have a day to drive about 4 hours to columbus, ga area for a three day even then head to alabama for another, need to find my notebook for the town i wrote down, brain cramp heh. looks like i will be gone nearly two weeks. methinks i need a hotel room a couple nights between for a shower and laundry...too cold to wash in a lake :)

how did you weather the storm today? did you get the storm?
 
i just want a day to myself ... will even settle for a late morning ... too much to ask ... maybe time to rethink farming ... thinking hurts ... headache ... want to stay in bed longer ... cant, mouths to feed ... need to rethink this farm thing ... dammit, headache worse ... wheres the damn coffee
