What's "really good" for you is dependent on which features are important, what your budget is and who will be wearing it. Ask yourself things like:
Is the wearer male or female?

Are there any features s/he must have or really wants (e.g. a harness that fits a fuller figure, can accommodate a vibe, is very versatile, is a certain material, etc.)?

Is the material (leather, nylon webbing, etc.) important?

Is the material of the dildo important? Do you want silicone (which is more expensive but has a lot of benefits), or less expensive dildos that need to be used with condoms for anal sex?

What kind of harness system would work best for you? O-rings? Vac-u-loc? Harnessless, like a Feeldoe or Share?

How much can you reasonably spend?

The reviews here are what led me to decide on the Ultra Harness Pro kit a few years ago. I was thrilled to get a very nice leather harness that could accommodate a bullet vibe, a dildo and two vinyl plugs (which we actually prefer to use separately) for under $45 including shipping on eBay (most toys are hidden away in the Mature Audiences/Adult section, under Everything Else).

Can't really add any more to Erika's response, it was perfect. Generally, unless you get lucky, you need to buy one or two before you find the one that fits you and works with you best. If money's no object, then make sure you buy quality; I used to have a neoprene one that was easy to pull on and off, but it wasn't particularly sexy. The one I have now is leather, and it's nice, and fits well and works well, but it takes a minute to pull on- strappys are wonderful, but they're not the most spontaneous of sex toys. Good luck and don't be afraid to experiment!

Check out Babeland's shopping advice for harnesses, too. Even though I didn't purchase one of their harnesses, I used that to decide on what features I really wanted.

Either an O-ring or Vac-u-loc system will allow you to change dildos. I went with Vac-u-loc because I didn't want to mess with O-rings of different sizes and, while vac-u-loc attachments aren't silicone, they are widely available at under or around $20. Silicone is great, but it's not cost-effective for us and using a condom over the dildo makes for extremely easy cleanup.

I decided leather was the way to go for us. I don't find synthetic webbing or other materials sexy, and leather is very durable, comfortable and adjustable if you get the right harness. Yeah, it takes a minute to buckle one buckle on the side (I leave the other ones buckled all the time), but our harness fits really well.

It looks like that dildo works with an o-ring harness, not a vac-u-loc harness.

Which is totally fine, but understand that they're two totally different systems.

If your wife is wearing the harness, she should probably have a hand in picking it out, since she knows her body and what is appealing to her. If, for instance, she really wants a harness that can accommodate a plug or two for her or a vibe, and you get one without those features, then she may not want to play with the new toy as much.

yep that is true, I am just doing the advance research for us both. Naturally she is the final chooser of the harness (I reserve the right to chose the dildo ) She isn't so much into dildos herself, she prefers clitoral stimulation so maybe something than can hold an egg.
