The children were playing happily in their rooms but the cats were staring with wide eyes as my hubby and I sweated and strained.

Apparently we need to vacuum more often.

No thanks. I learned my lesson from last night's concert afterparty, thank you very much. The hangover (along with another issue) completely destroyed my concentration on writing, and I've been dicking around all day today as a result.
