Straight Talk - Not LGBTQ or BI or POLY

Omg are you serious?? The whole world is build on heteronormative "values." Saying it has become offensive to be hetero is like a white person complaining about it's offensive to be white.
That is a whole different debate.

It must be awful being hetero - everyone hates you, you feel so isolated, people talk about you behind your back or point you out at work. I'm an ally and always ready to help out heterosexuals who may feel they just don't fit in the world. You are valued, don't give up - my parents were hetero, so I have some insight into the problems they face. :rose:

Like this exactly.

Excluding that heterosexuals(not the act of) can be offensive; when the radical left said it was.
Using myself as an example. Heterosexual male. I wear a belt with my pants and my shirt tucked in. Semi-formal attire when in public. I order coffee and the guy behind the counter has long designed painted nails, lipstick and dangling earrings. I pay and say thank you. The look I got from the barista was as if I smelt bad. Of course, I haven't been back to the spot. It was the same look I use to get from white barista when I was younger.

I manifest my look to show that I am a heterosexual black male. It's to avoid confusion to the best of my ability.

Do you honestly feel all of those things in your workplace?

It’s a shame if you’re just trying to go about your day and someone calls you a disgusting breeder and creates drama to try to get you fired.

Has the pendulum swung so far that straights are now just a voiceless minority? 😢

No. I don't feel any of those things. It's the sarcasm of the post that I'm referring to.

It sounds like you just got snubbed by an uppity “pretty girl.”

Are you sure it was based on your perceived orientation? Maybe if you were a debonair gentleman her reaction may have been very different.

Still, I’m sorry that she was rude to you.

I can't imagine being worried about such things. I find if you treat everyone with kindness and respect, it will be returned. If it isn't, then that's on them and it bothers me not even a little.

Sarcasm comes in many flavours - just like people. I think you know you deserved a wet finger in your ear for your provocative post, and my reply was in the same vein. I'm not a fan of acrylic nails or hoop ear rings, but how dull life would be if everyone tucked in their shirt. It sounds like you need some sand in your shoes and after all the covid shit everyone has had to endure, I hope you have time for that too... provided your untuck your shirt on the beach - that would be weird, not offensive :)

I don't know ebb and flo.
You don't know what ebb&flow is?

Could be the way you said it, the look on your face in that moment, or they thought your outfit was trash. manifesting middle-managemement isn't manifesting heterosexual- we don't all dress like that barista. No social law states I can't dress like that, I just- ugh, don't.

How has being heterosexual become offensive?
It isn't.

And the word has kinda lost its meaning I think. There's a difference between actual offence and disliking something. My name is Karen and I don't like all this stupid Karen shit going around but I don't clutch my pearls and scream offence.

Life is full of stuff we don't like. It's called living. We should all just get the fuck on with it cos the alternative is too expensive (see my graves thread).
