I'm not being nosy, the answer really does make a difference.
If there were trust issues and you were in bird-dog mode already then this is one thing. If you were presented with it by a third party who knew and you didn't that's something else. If it was an innocent slip between the two of you it's an entirely different thing altogether.

Was it something from his past or his youth?

Well she did ask for comments and I gave mine. And all it means is that I have no interest in being so curious. But it stands to reason that some folks will be.
