I've been wondering about this for some time. How many others do this? I like to rp on this site, but sometimes as a women, with another nick. Is that strange? Do others do this? I'm straight, and when rp as a women, I imagine what I'm typing being done to me. Also, just the sexual erotic context is a turn on. If you also do this, please share any thoughts. Thanks.

I think that this is somewhat interesting. Ive thought before of what it would be like to pretend if i was a man and talk to men who were gay.. so its interesting the idea of pretending you are other than what you are.. what is it that you would like to delve into that you never did? What turns you on about that? Does part of it involve the idea of the other not knowing that the descriptions of another man are making him excited and not necessarily that of a woman..

Thanks for the response. I'll be honest that I started rp as women here on Lit chat as I didn't always get responses for wanting to chat as Nash. When I was quite horny I wanted to rp but hard to find someone to chat with. Pretending to be a women, of course, I get many pms. Then it became exciting, just chatting about sex regardless of gender. The challenge for me was creating a storyline that was interesting, builds, and the person I was chatting with had a good imagination. I also did it to get a feel for stories I wanted to write, eventually. Also, I've rp as a women to playout some fantasies I have.

i have noticed on some chat sites not always this one , that i get pms to chat with a woman ,
however sometimes half way through the chat you get an uneasy sort of feeling that this is in fact a man . i often wondered why they did this ,i thought maybe women wouldnt talk to them if they told them they were men ,

When I first began to rp as a women, I had to be careful not to slip, and break the mood with a wrong gender part mentioned, lol. Early on I got guestioned a few times, but not so much after getting used to it.
Another part of me wanted to get a sense for how women were treated in online chatrooms. I kind of expected the crudeness, but sometimes more than I thought. On the other hand, the direct approach I think is not bad sometimes.

From being a Rper, I have seen so many different things, it is normal to me now.
Some examples.
I played a MMORPG on a RP server. I was guild leader. There were 2 males both playing female toons, that got married in the game, and had a very sexual relationship. Neither one would tell the other they were not woman. I knew though. I never did say anything, as i was in a relationship with a female and they kept is hush.
Another example.
I had a friend, who was bi-sexual, but was afraid to pick up men. So he Roleplayed a woman, so he could let out his urge to be with a man. It was his way of not cheating on his wife.

One of the things i seemed to get from the guys that Rped woman (in a visual rp) they didn't like seeing men in front of them moving. Many that did it in a non visual game, did it for various reasons. Some because the number of woman was low, so they could do more. Others did it just as an experiment.

now on the other side, if it harms none, do what thy will.
I think if you go into the RP forums, you will find a lot of men, that will play a woman.

It's an interesting thought, but not one that I've ever bothered to pursue, if for no other reason, because I'm not sure of my ability to convincingly replicate the female psyche (not to mention female reactions during sex!). I'll leave that to the women, though sometimes I wonder if even women understand the female psyche.
