Hi everyone :) I submitted a story over a week ago, but it’s still stuck in my pending folder. Normally, from what I’ve seen, approval takes about 2–4 days, but this time it’s been much longer. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something I should do, or just keep waiting? Any advice would be really appreciated :D

I’ve submitted several over the past few days and they are ALL still pending. One story has been pending since September 12, another since the 21st, another one since the 23rd, and there are even simple title edit requests (just the title, mind you, not anything else) that have been ignored for two weeks. It has also happened to me that stories submitted afterwards have already been published.

I had a story in the anus of literotica (AKA the pending queue) for over 2 weeks and a poem for 2 weeks. I decided to delete both and submit as new. This worked for several people and I figured what have I got to lose.

This seems to be an ongoing issue.

Laurel is the only Site Admin and she has nt responded to anyone on this issue as far as we know - there's a lot of threads on the AUthors Hanghout on this.

I've had this myself with my story sitting in pending for 7 days, as have a lot of other people.

Best approach seems to be to complete delete your pending story - as in DELETE it - and resubmit as a new story. I did this and it went thru and was published within 3-4 days. It's worth a try as they seem to just sit n pending and go nowhere - and Laurel is not respondig to requests for help or info on the issue.

Try deleting completely and then resubmit as a New Story with a note to admin saying "This was in ending from (date) to (date). I deleted and am reubmitting as a New Story"

That seems to have worked for a few people

Guys, see this thread on the AUthors Hangout - https://forum.literotica.com/thread...submitted-here.1641620/page-13#post-101693455

I posted some instructions here n whar seems to be working

I'd recommend two actions if your story has been sitting in Pending for more than 10-15 days *Laurel says 15 days but personally, I did this after 7 days. Most stories are processed and go thru in 1-3 days, so doing this after 7-10 days sounds appropriatel

(1) DELETE your pending story completely. I repeat, DELETE (not just resubmit)
(2) Submit it as a NEW Story (completely new, from scratch)
(3) Add a Note to Admin saying something like "Story was in Pending from (date) to (date). Was not processed. Deleted completely and resubmitted as a new story on (date)"

This seems to work for quite a few people

Just a suggestion: If you submitted as a Word attachment previously, instead, try copying and pasting the text into the Story submission form on Literotica

If you do this and your story ends up in Pending Hell again, also Report it as a bug on Literotica

  1. Use the online bug report form.
Include the exact URL if the story, the name of the story, your userid, the date you submitted the story, as well as details about your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and any other relevant information that you think might help them track down the issue.

First I've heard anyone say that how the story was uploaded might have something to do with it. FWIW, my story that I finally got published was cut and paste to the Pending submission form both times.

That was just a wild-assed guess. There's only a few variable we can play with and that was one of them. I always paste into the new story submission form rather than upload myself but there;s no real reason for that LOL

I have never uploaded a story and my current story is almost 2 weeks pending. i have texted with other authors who submitted stories after mine and theirs are posted. Proof that the cms is buggy
