Story Request: "X-Ray"ted Fun

I recently thought on an idea for a story. It would be about a shy guy in college who was born with X-Ray Vision, causing him to see everyone, including the women, naked every time he gets aroused. He has been hiding his reactions since he was in high school, but one day his power is discovered. He is brought before a court, and instead of prison, the judge decides to sentence him to nudism. It is mandatory rule to be naked for the rest of his life as way of "evening things out" by allowing the public to see him naked the same way he can see them. This leads to a lot of adventures.

I always thought the "x-ray vision" thing was odd. (Like with Superman.) Wouldn't someone see bones???? Like in an actual x-ray?

I always wondered why you wouldn't just see layers and layers of images so that nothing was discernible. Where would the end of the range be?

Xray vision uses ionizing radiation to penetrate matter. It is inexorably linked with heat vision, i.e. sending heat beams from one's eyes. One uses Xray / heat vision to burn off layers of clothes etc. THAT will certainly land a practitioner in court -- unless you incinerate the cops too.

What's needed here is see-thru vision. That requires magic and presumably some level of control. Or it may be achieved by altering the frequency response of one's eyes, shifting the spectrum down into the infrared -- heat RECEPTION vision, not heat EMITTING eyes. Shifting visual range up to the Xray portion of the spectrum is useless unless a strong Xray source is positioned on the other side of who / what you want to see through.

Thus the realistic approach to see-thru vision is infrared (like certain old Sony vid.cams) and the easy approach is magic. If it's magic, anything can happen, but the viewer can easily avoid apprehension and prosecution. Unless they're a jerk / moron / baghead.

He can see through clothes when aroused. Does the ability disappear once he ejaculates? Perhaps in addition to being forced into nudism, he has electrical sensors implanted into his groin that sense when his x-ray ability is active and auto stimulates an ejaculation?

This would be quite entertaining to see him in a department store, notice a beautiful woman, and as she catches sight of him he begins ejaculating spontaneously due to the sensors!

Since everyone wants to apply reality to this, why don't we replace the power with "see-through vision". Would this be okay. And it wouldn't go away after he ejaculates, so the electric probes would be pointless.
