The world: Everyone in this world has mana, which is magical power used to cast spells. Men have significantly more mana than woman, however there is a twist. The only ones that can actually use this mana are women, specifically women who have awakened as a witch. These women absorb the mana through intimacy, kissing works for small amounts, but sex lets them absorb larger amounts. With that mana witches can use their unique magical abilities. Some control an elemant like fire or air, while others can heal or excellerate plant growth. In this world these witches are captured and executed, which happens a lot since awakenings aren't subtle. Women can awaken as a witch from 18 to 25 years of age at random. However if a persons mana runs out, they lose their life, this is true for men, women and witches.

The MC: The MC is a lord's son, still in his mid 20's. The king of this country doesn't have children so now an X amount of young nobles are giving the opportunity to prove themselves to be the best fit as king. The MC is one of these candidates, receiving free reign over a small territory. He can decide the laws there at his will. The MC never agreed with the prosecution of Witches, and now he will get the opportunity to change it, even if it's just for this small territory. What the MC doesn't know at the start is that he has a ridiculous amount of mana in his body. If women have drops, men have puddles, he has an ocean. Meaning he will very likely never feel fatique and him dying from mana depletion is unlikely since no witch could drain that much mana from him.

Start of Story: So I want the start of the story to be when the MC arrives at his territory, the local goverment is just about to execute a young woman who has awakened as a witch. However they have waited for him, as their new lord, he gets to give the final order. However he decides to order her release and to let her recover in his new castle. The imprisonment however has taken much out of her, she needs a large injection of mana to recover, the young lord is happy to oblige. Aterwards she swears allegiance to him for saving her life. Will allowing witches to live make him a powerful lord? Or will it become his downfall?

It's unique and in-depth. Perhaps knowing what a banquet she has she calls her coven sisters and the king has his own harem, or so he thinks. He takes advantage of the power now at his disposal and they take advantage of the endless supply and make themselves and him very powerful.

I'd read this.

Interesting idea, i thought we were going into an episode of The Witcher for a second.

Not going that dark with haha, but definitely want it to go into fantasy and include battles between witches. And of course these witches would need to charge up for battle and/or recharge after the battle....

So you should make it a gay story.
the lord's son was gay in Braveheart, and it follows logically...

No, sorry. I am not into Male on male, so I don't write it either, to each their own, but that just isn't for me. Also the story isn't inspired by braveheart, so that logic also doesn't work for me.

Its your story go your own way.

I'm thinking of keeping the MC as a good man who does get more and more powerfull because witches join him out of their own free will, maybe some will want to take advantage of him. However he is a good man that genuinely wants to give these witches a safe home.
Also, I think the other prospects who got a territory to rule don't have to be all male. In this world I would want to put men and women on equal ground, with the exception of witches of course. So maybe one of the other young lords trying to become Queen in that case, suddenly awakans as a witch and get in trouble now that her subjects want to execute her. So he attacks and with the power of the witches that already joined him he wins and saves her. She joins him and he doubles his territory, having more territory where witches aren't prosecuted and it gives him a huge advantage in the battle for the throne, which also makes him a target for the other competitors.

Storylines like that is what I'm thinking of, where besides the sex there would also be a lot of battles and politics.

So cross over between The Witcher and Game Of Thrones. I like it. P.S I am a big fan of both story lines as they have some great powerful women in them.

The witch lives in the minds of men who cannot find happiness in their lives. She brings them joy and pleasure; mainly enabled through the men eating many turnips. They become virile, horny, overly naughty and very focused upon an insane need to orgasm very heavily. She can influence up to five men at any one time.

What you're possibly looking for is a Kingdom practicing gavelkind, or applying it in your case as an exception. Perhaps triggered by the ruler not having any direct male heir?

Gavelkind was a historical land tenure and inheritance system, notably in England's Kent and Celtic lands, where a deceased person's property was divided equally among all surviving sons (or heirs) instead of going to the eldest, contrasting with primogeniture.

Like other inheritance systems practiced in medieval Europe, gavelkind can be sallic where only direct male descendants of male descendants inherit, or semi-sallic where sons of daughters (but not daughters themselves) are eligible to the inheritance.

You could use that to create your female ruler, as a regent for her infant son who got theirs partition of the kingdom. She's ruling in his name, and she could still be young enough to be eligible for your witch awakening. Her position as a regent could also be easily contested by other relatives. Including our MC who necessarily would be related to her in this scenario as at least a cousin once removed.

Very interesting concept that I wasn't familiar with yet.
I don't think it's exactly what I want for this story though, but I will look into it.
Basically I do want to avoid brother/sister incest, Cousin, maybe. Since it's in medieval times, I don't think it would be out of place in the story, but I'm not sure yet.

In my story though I do want Men and Women to simply both be able to become rulers, they are equals basically.
The competition is more of a test, who has what it takes to become King or Queen, but maybe not everything goes as planned though. I will certainly look into gavelkind.

Oh I definitely plan to add powerfull women into the story, both good and evil. Some wiser than the MC, of course it all goes to the MC becoming King. But almost all of his closest advisors will be women (witches). Thinking of a lot of world building atm. Like a secret brothel, where men secretly go. It's run by witches who are carefull not to kill the men, but they 'work' there to recharge their mana and make some coin while doing so. The madam being a powerfull witch.

Also want an evil witch, probably not someone in the competition but who works more underground. She kidnaps the men who wanted to execute witches and uses them to charge her mana. She is very powerfull since she has sex with multiple men at once to charge herself. Which would give some good sex scenes and a powerfull antagonist for the story.

I look forward to reading it. good luck

I'm sorry to hear you're not also looking at the darker side of this. There's questions how far a good person will go to do good.

Imagine this.

The power of witches is something he realises he can use well. This is why he saves her, next to his altruism. His leap of faith is rewarded, as she joins and helps create happy people in the empire. Big disasters seem part of the past, the harvests are plentiful, and some angry emissaries of local or other regions go home happy, keeping expensive wars at bay. It is the witch's doing.

There is some part of the country unhappy that "dark powers" seem to be afoot. A witch having the ruler in their power. This offers some struggles the guy can overcome.

There is no certainty how much mana the king has left. Having some knowledge, or maybe on the witches insistence, he'll procure a different mana source. He offers the wretched denizens of the dungeons. They are all too happy to help. They get good accommodations, and willing women to boot? Compared to rotting in a cel, it seems a no-brainer.

However, they are only there as mana sources, kept in good condition until they are wrung dry and die.

You can have interesting dialogue with people he'll capture during his campaign. The difficult choices he has to make in ransoming his valuable captures, or giving them to the witches once or twice with the risk they'll run out of mana and die. Some might initially refuse, dreading the witches their power. Only to succumb to their attractive whims.

You can have the MC join the festivities with his ocean of mana. Think how Robert Baratheon in GoT feasted all his enemies. They'll trust a witch ritual more, and maybe after a sex orgy will join him.

Oh I do plan to explore some of the darkers sides of this. Even though witches are outlawed doesn't mean some of the lords won't exploit them. I just want to have the MC as a righteous lord who wants to give witches their freedom back, even though a bunch do flok around him because of his enormous Mana pool.

The other competitiors for the position of king are just part of the kingdom and are the main objective at the start, but there will be other antagonists who go way darker. I am also thinking of adding some type of religious church who preach against witchcraft, but do actually utilize witches and just tell everyone those are different and devine.

Basically the outlawing of witches have gifted lords with dark intentions power because witches that are caught by them can only choose to serve or die basically. Later on in the story the MC will of course encounter these lords and libirate these witches. At least with what I have in my head at the moment.
